Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams clearly has a good sense of humor, judging by her social media posts. Williams posted a picture of herself in a brown bikini with the caption, “26 today, feeling very woman, feeling very mama x.” One fan joked that at over 25, she was now too old for Leonardo DiCaprio. Her very tongue-in-cheek response? “Poor Leo 💔.” Other fans wished her a happy birthday. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Williams stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Running

Closeup,Image,Of,A,Woman's,Legs,While,Jogging,In,City, RunningShutterstock

Williams likes to go for a jog outside. “You burn more calories from running and walking than from a lot of the other exercise programs that you can work in,” says Katie Schultes, MD. “It shows that it decreases your risk of cardiovascular disease, I think by about 45 percent. Running also increases your HDL, which is one of your good cholesterols. It helps burn calories, it helps reduce fat and it reduces your risk of getting diabetes.”

2. Push Up Challenge

Williams took part in the 22 Push Ups Challenge to raise awareness of mental health issues for service veterans. “How many you can do at one time offers a real-time measurement of your strength and muscular endurance and is an easy tool to help you improve,” says Dr. Edward Phillips, assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. “You can do them anywhere and at any time. All you need is your body weight and a few minutes.”

3. Embracing Her Natural Look

Christian Dior : Photocall - Paris Fashion Week - Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023Stephane Cardinale - Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images

After years of being put in androgynous outfits and stage makeup to play Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, Williams says she was thrilled to rediscover and celebrate her femininity. Williams was especially glad to showcase her looks and physique in beautiful clothes. “With this new phase of my style, it is nice to look more feminine and have a real waistline,” she told Vogue.

4. Plant-Based Diet

Williams follows a mostly plant-based diet. “Antioxidants in plants grab all these so-called free radicals that can throw your body off balance,” says Andrea Murray, MD Anderson health education specialist. “To reduce inflammation, it’s important to eat plant-based and to listen to your body’s signals for how foods work for you.”

5. Cheese, Please

Williams finds herself tempted by delicious cheese, especially when she’s in France. “Cheese is a good source of calcium: a 30g portion of cheddar provides over a quarter of an adult’s daily requirements,” says the British Heart Foundation. “However, other dairy products, such as yogurt and milk, are just as good for the bones and much lower in fat and salt.”

Strictly Come Dancing star Maisie Smith is a very busy woman—not only is she taking part in the hit dancing competition, but she is also juggling her filming schedule on UK soap EastEnders. The 21-year-old actress posted photos of herself wearing a stunning purple bathing suit, posing next to boyfriend Max George as they holiday in Cyprus. “I don’t do cold,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Smith stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves Yoga

MaisieSmith2Maisie Smith/Instagram

Smith enjoys regular yoga sessions at a local studio. “More than 90% of people who come to yoga do so for physical exercise, improved health, or stress management, but for most people, their primary reason for doing yoga will change,” says Marlynn Wei MD, JD. “One study found that two-thirds of yoga students and 85% of yoga teachers have a change of heart regarding why they practice yoga—most often changing to spirituality or self-actualization, a sense of fulfilling their potential. The practice of yoga offers far more than physical postures and headstands—there is self-reflection, the practice of kindness and compassion, and continued growth and awareness of yourself and others.”

2. She Plays the Piano

Not only does she dance and act, but Smith can sing and play the piano. “There are few things that stimulate the brain the way music does,” according to Johns Hopkins Medicine. “If you want to keep your brain engaged throughout the aging process, listening to or playing music is a great tool. It provides a total brain workout. Research has shown that listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as improve sleep quality, mood, mental alertness, and memory.”

3. She Has Struggled With Self-Confidence

"Outlander" Season Six PremiereKarwai Tang/WireImage

Growing up in the public eye has been tough on Smith, who says she struggled to speak at times. “I was on Eastenders for 13 years, which was all I can remember. I sometimes think I’m more comfortable being Tiffany than I am being Maisie,” she says. The good thing about being an actress is that I know how to look confident. In reality I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve struggled, sort of, speaking. And I’ve had, not a stutter but I just could go blank and words wouldn’t come out and I think the more that happened, the more people would just, sort of, talk over me. I found it pretty hard and I just hated the person I was for a long time. The reason I worked so hard and pushed myself was because the one thing I can’t control is the thing I’m most scared of. I’d love to overcome these feelings of fear. I want to be this strong person that I try to be.”

4. She Trains Really Hard

Smith had to train hard to prepare for her stint on Strictly Come Dancing. “I love training,” she says. “When I found out I was going on the show I realized I needed to be as fit as I could as they knew I could dance so they would really push me. Before Strictly I was going to the gym six or seven days a week. I would spend two hours there. I put pictures of my body on social media. Because I don’t post a lot of them from the gym, people think I am naturally like that, but I have worked so hard. I didn’t want to go into this and not do well because I wasn’t strong enough.”

5. She Embraces Her Physique

MaisieSmithMaisie Smith/Instagram

Smith has felt insecure about her body in the past, something she is learning to overcome. “The past few years I’ve been VERY insecure about my legs. I covered them up as much possible,” she says. “No matter how many people told me ‘cellulite is natural.. everyone has it..’ I still hated them. It’s taken me a while but I’m starting to accept these aspects of myself that I’ve always seen as ‘flaws’. I wore gym shorts (out of the house) for the FIRST time a couple of months ago n I was so so proud of myself 💘. I wish I could I say that I LOVE my body but I’m still working on that 😅.”

Maisie Williams has proven herself as a force to be reckoned with in the acting world, gaining widespread recognition for her iconic role in Game of Thrones. Recently, she showcased her versatility by starring in the Apple TV series The New Look. But beyond her impressive career, Williams also gives fans a glimpse into her everyday life on Instagram. A few weeks ago, she shared a candid post featuring moments like walking her dog, savoring some chicken nuggets, and soaking up the sun, with the playful caption: "A love triangle between me, my dog, and my @peachyden cardigan x." If you’re curious about how Maisie maintains her health and well-being, keep reading to discover five ways she stays in shape—along with the photos that prove her methods really work.

1. She Works When She’s In A Good Place

Williams opened up about her career to ELLE. She says that she wants to work when she’s in a good place. “I think you can really make good work when you, yourself, are in a good place. I think there’s this idea of the pained artist, someone who can only create because of the pain, and if you were to be healed from the pain, then would you still be able to make good work? Everyone thinks about that differently, but for me, I certainly feel like the best work that I’ve ever done is from a place where I feel like my life is going well and it’s not just about work.”

2. She Meditates

Young,Latin,Woman,Practicing,Meditation,Indoors.Shutterstock

Williams tells ELLE that she likes to practice meditation, and she did this while shooting The New Look. “I spent a lot of time meditating while shooting. And so a lot of this mental strain—I know it was definitely there, but I think I just let it pass over me. I didn’t hold onto it so much. I let go a lot of my responsibilities in my own life in preparation. I came away from all of my friends and my family and from my phone. I don’t think I looked at my phone for a month.”

3. She’s Comfortable

Williams tells ELLE that shooting The New Look made her a lot more comfortable with her life. “It felt like a real cleansing of a lot of things, like I could reintroduce all of these parts of my life that I loved and not reintroduce the parts that I didn’t. I remember spending so much more time with my friends after [filming The New Look] than I had before. I have the most amazing friendships, but I felt like over the last year, which was the year after I had been filming, they really flourished so much more than [they] had before. It was so nice to have this sort of freedom of waking up every single day and asking myself, ‘What do I want to do today, and how do I want to spend my time? And how on a scale of one to 10, how do I feel? And if it’s not a 10, what is it?’ I felt like I had this new lease of life, in a way.”

4. She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Williams has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her favorite products and tricks in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. "Simplicity is my method for filling my beauty bag,” Williams revealed. “I would describe my beauty philosophy as being ‘high low’; I like having very few, very special products.”

5. She Walks

As you can see in her Instagram post, one way Williams stays fit is walking with her dog. Walking has a lot of benefits. Harvard Health reports, “Walking can help protect you during cold and flu season. A study of over 1,000 men and women found that those who walked at least 20 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, had 43% fewer sick days than those who exercised once a week or less. And if they did get sick, it was for a shorter duration, and their symptoms were milder.”

Frazer opened up about life after her divorce in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle. She says that she is now living life on her own terms. “Now I’m on OnlyFans, I’m single, I’m on the cover of Maxim - it’s the complete opposite. I think it’s the path that I was meant to be on and I’m where I’m meant to be. Every day I wake up and I'm just so happy with my life.”

2. She’s Taking Care Of Her Mental Health

Creed III Sydney PremiereMark Metcalfe/Getty Images

Frazer tells Yahoo Lifestyle that she has started taking care of her mental health. “I still feel like there's a little bit of fine-tuning to do with my mental health, but it's the best it's been since I want to say even before MAFS started filming,” she remarks. “I'm just excited to wake up every day, which I haven’t felt for two years. Obviously the filming process was hard and then what we went through during filming was awful. And then Jackson and I, it was the wrong relationship. So being in a relationship that's not working as well as all this other stuff just really took a toll. So I think getting out of all of it, I made a very conscious choice a few months ago to just stop talking about all the drama and all the bad stuff... Unless I’m asked a direct question, I just don’t interact with it or take the bait or anything like that, and it's just serving me really well.”

3. She Got Surgery

Stethoscope,On,Note,Book,With,Weight,Loss,Surgery,Words,AsShutterstock

Frazer notably lost a lot of weight in recent years. She revealed on Instagram that she decided to get weight-loss surgery as a way to do so. “Surgery [is] the last thing anybody ever wants to do. It is the last resort. It’s not fun not being able to eat like everybody else, it’s not fun to not be able to drink like everybody else.”

4. She Defends Herself

Frazer has had to defend herself due to being seen as a reality TV villain. She recently clapped back when a photo of her was taken without her consent. “I was spotted applying for a casual job at a makeup store. Absolutely disgusting because a photo was taken of me in my job interview that I did not know was being taken. It’s a huge disgusting invasion of privacy.”

5. She Swims

Frazer spends a lot of time outside. One thing she likes to do to stay in shape is going swimming. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself by the water. Frazer posted this set of photos of herself in Bali. In the first photo, she is seen taking a dip in a pool. She captioned the post, “Bali. And I might like the color green.” Frazer also shared this pool photo, captioning it, “More relaxing times.”

Yasmin was born a boy and raised Catholic alongside her half-sister by a Jamaican mother she lived in poverty and was the target of bullies. “Being a Black trans woman, I’ve been forced to grow up early,” she told Vogue UK.

2. She Embraces Her Uniqueness

Yasmin wrote a “note to younger self” in an Instagram post. “Blooming into my own, one step at a time. From a shy 13 year old who doubted herself… to a confident individual who wears pink proudly and fearlessly. Believe in yourself, embrace your uniqueness, and let your journey unfold. Who knows, you might even end up on another cover of Vogue.”

3. She Wants to Be a Bond Girl

"I would love to be a trans Bond girl or just a Bond girl in general. I love James Bond," she told The Mirror. "Every time I watch a Bond film, I think I would love to be that cool, sexy Bond girl that has never been done before."

4. She Is Confident

“We all try things out, we all try and navigate ourselves and what we like to wear,” Yasmin said, discussing her character with Elle. “I think confidence is from within, and I think you can really see that she’s got all of that confidence within her now. I’m a very confident person as Yasmin.”

5. She Swims

Yasmin loves swimming, a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.

Dani Elle Speegle in Two-Piece Workout Gear is "Just a Girl and Her Barbell"

Discover how elite CrossFit athlete Dani Elle Speegle stays in peak condition with weightlifting, golfing, jumping rope, hiking, and cold plunges.

Dani Elle Speegle isn’t just strong—she’s unstoppable. The elite CrossFit athlete and social media sensation has built a massive following by sharing her intense training sessions and inspiring fitness moments. Recently, she posted a series of weightlifting photos on Instagram, proving once again why she’s a powerhouse in the gym.

“Just a girl and her barbell,” she captioned the post, letting her strength do the talking. From lifting heavy to outdoor adventures, here’s how Speegle stays in peak condition.

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram post, Speegle is seen lifting weights. According to ACE Fitness, doing this has a lot of benefits. “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue.”

She Golfs

Speegle likes to golf to keep herself in shape. She shared a video of herself on the course in this Instagram post. According to Randa aerobic exercise. “Golf can help strength and balance, improve quality of life and provide aerobic exercise. On a regular 18-hole course, most players will walk between four and five miles, burning up to 2,000 calories.”

She's Into Jumping Rope

Speegle shared this video on Instagram of herself competing in Crossfit events. In it, she is seen jumping rope. According to The Cleveland Clinic, jumping rope has a lot of benefits. “Benefits of jump rope can help improve your coordination, get your heart rate going and help burn calories — and it’s an easy, affordable way to get some cardio in.”

She Hikes

Speegle likes to hike to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself hiking the Koko Head Summit. Speegle captioned the post, “Woke up and chose pain today. Every 45 min X 3 rounds: Koko head 💀💀💀 Then sat in my car and stared into the abyss while munching on Banan 🥲🥲🥲”

She Does Cold Plunges

Speegle makes sure to recover. One thing she likes to do is cold plunges. Speegle shared this video of herself jumping into a tub. According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. Less damage leads to less inflammation, which in turn reduces soreness and helps restore physical performance the next day. These benefits may be the result of rapid constriction of the blood vessels due to the cold water. The cold can trigger responses in your body, such as decreased metabolic activity, alterations in hormone production and blood flow, and activation of the immune system.”

Golfer Tvesa Malik in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Awesome" Exercises

Discover how Tvesa Malik, SuperSport Ladies Championship winner, stays in peak shape with weightlifting, core work, and golf.

Golfer Tvesa Malik in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Awesome" Exercises
Tvesa Malik / Instagram

Tvesa Malik isn’t just a pro golfer—she’s a powerhouse athlete dedicated to staying in peak shape. The SuperSport Ladies Championship winner knows that strength and endurance are just as important as skill on the course. That’s why she takes her fitness seriously, incorporating weightlifting, core work, and mobility exercises into her training.

Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. Here’s a closer look at how Malik keeps her body strong and ready for competition.

She Lifts Weights

Malik is seen doing a lot of weight lifting in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Lunges

Malik is seen shifting into lunges in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that lunges are a form of unilateral training, and that makes them effective. “Unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

She Does Core Workouts

Malik is seen doing core workouts, like hanging crunches in her Instagram video. Core workouts are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes.”

She Does Pull-Ups

An upper body workout that Malik likes to do is pull-ups. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them at the gym. Malik captioned it, “Got some major work to do before my next session.” Asphalt Green says that pull-ups have a lot of benefits. “Pull-ups are a fantastic way to improve upper-body strength. This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest. Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”

She Golfs

Golf is obviously one of the ways that Malik keeps herself in shape. Better Health says that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”

Camila Guper / Instagram

Camila Guper is more than just a fitness influencer—she’s a motivation powerhouse. With 1.1 million Instagram followers, she inspires her audience with workout routines, wellness tips, and a disciplined approach to staying fit. Recently, she took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her latest gym session, including a stairclimber workout, a snapshot of her Apple Watch tracking her progress, and a post-workout mirror selfie in pink workout gear.

Her message? Consistency is key. “Don't underestimate the power of small, consistent actions! Every effort is worth it when you know where you want to go,” she captioned the post. From intense stair workouts to leg-sculpting exercises, here’s how Guper stays in top shape.

She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits. ACE Fitness says, “Improving metabolic health in terms of lower risks of heart problems and other complications, also by definition improves fitness. You can feel your heart working harder and the fire in your lungs when you ascend stairs. And that’s provoking important changes in your cardiorespiratory system that will make physical activities, like running and walking, feel easier.”

She’s Consistent

Guper makes sure to stay consistent with her workout routines. One way she does so is by staying disciplined. Guper talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Good morning! May we always have the discipline to do what is good for us. Amen 💪🏽🙏🏽✨ 40 min stair + shoulder and chest workout today.”

She Does Lunges

Guper shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, lunges have a lot of benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles.”

She Does Leg Extensions

In the previous Instagram video, Guper is seen using the leg extension machine. Asphalt Green says that leg extensions have a lot of benefits. “These machines provide isolation exercises for your legs. This type of exercise works only one muscle or group of muscles, which means you can build up that part of your body quickly. If you want your thigh muscles to really stand out in those shorts you just bought, the leg extension machine is for you!”

She Spends Time Outside

Guper likes to spend time outside. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself enjoying a day by the pool with her dog. Guper captioned the post, “Good Morning! What book are you reading? 📖💚🐺🌮 I'm loving reading How to become super natural! I'm already sharing saying it's a must-read.”
