Entertainment India FebruaryProdip Guha/Getty Images

When it comes to fitness, it depends on what job Mohanan is doing at the moment. “As an actor now, I think it really depends on the role,” she tells Indulge Express. “For instance, when I was doing Christy, I completely stopped working out because I couldn’t look too toned. I needed to have a more real body for a character like that. My muscles couldn’t look too tight, my triceps couldn’t be showing. As soon as Christy got over, I started working out for Pa. Ranjith’s film required me to be very fit. Currently, I am on a very strict diet regime — strict workouts and stunt classes. So, right now, I am 200 percent a fitness freak.”

Mohanan has no time for bullies and trolls. “I’m someone who hates bullying and being bullied,” she tells New Indian Express. “Every day, I come across scores of faceless people hiding behind the facade of social media and venting out all their frustration on others. It’s just a sad life they’re leading, and I think the best way to deal is to ignore them. But some of them can be really mean, and that’s when I get agitated and feel the need to call out.”

4. She Studies Martial Arts

Entertainment India SeptemberProdip Guha/Getty Images

Mohanan has picked up martial arts. She documented her training on social media. She shared this video of herself using a staff on Instagram. Mohanan captioned the post, “From my day 1, where I found even holding this stick heavy, to now being able to fluidly do the movements of the martial art..So much we can achieve just by practising a discipline daily, no? Thank you @0763.shankarofficial for being so patient with me, while I continue discovering this beautiful world.”

5. She Works With A Trainer

Mohanan, like many others, uses a personal trainer to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself lying on a yoga mat after a session. Mohanan captioned the post, “When your trainer says he’s making you stronger but is secretly trying to kill you 😪 🔪 @klinton81.” Having a personal trainer can help someone stay motivated. It can also help them stay consistent and learn the exercises properly.

Indian actress Malvika Sharma is taking a break from her busy work schedule to enjoy some rest and relaxation at the beach—and of course, she’s got the selfies to prove it. Sharma, 24, shared pictures of herself posing on the sand in a black bathing suit, her hair down across her shoulders against a background of beautiful ocean. “Beautiful,” a fan commented. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Sharma stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. Evening Runs

Sharma admits her on-set diet wasn’t always healthy, so she would make up for it by going for evening runs after a long day of filming. "Running has this lovely way of improving almost every system we have in our body, and that's the nice thing of it being a weight-bearing activity," says Dr. Jane Thornton, a sport medicine physician and Canada Research Chair in Injury Prevention and Physical Activity for Health at Western University. "And because of that, that means our bones are strengthened, muscles become stronger but it also affects our aerobic capacity.”

2. Tea and Dates For Breakfast

Indian,Masala,Chai,Or,Tea,Ion,Ttraditional,Glasses,,With,Kettle,Shutterstock

Sharma starts the day by eating dates and drinking tea with regular milk and spices. “I think it has been doing wonders for my health,” she says. “That is something I would suggest everyone should do in the morning. I’m a tea person, so the first thing I want in the morning is my chai.”

3. Kickboxing and pole Dancing

Sharma loves kickboxing sessions for the stress-busting benefits, and pole dancing for abs. The actress makes a point that she enjoys many different types of exercise to keep her happy and energized. “It requires a lot of core strength, it’s so hard,” she says of pole dancing. It’s a combination of all the workouts I do, it’s not a particular workout… I love everything.”

4. She Loves Pilates

Sharma enjoys the incredible health benefits of regular Pilates sessions. "Pilates focuses on using intense concentration during exercises that are performed in slow, small sets and can be modified for any persons to participate (even those with limited mobility)," says Danielle Johnson, RDN, CDN. “The best approach to Pilates is a full body routine, targeting all the major muscle groups to promote unity within the body and everyday life.”

5. Bitter Melon Juice

Sharma swears by bitter melon juice (also known as bitter gourd) for a healthy, glowing complexion. Research shows bitter melon has benefits beyond just appearance. “In addition to being a food ingredient, bitter melon has also long been used as a herbal remedy for a range of ailments, including type 2 diabetes,” says Diabetes UK. “The fruit contains at least three active substances with anti-diabetic properties, including charanti, which has been confirmed to have a blood glucose-lowering effect, vicine and an insulin-like compound known as polypeptide-p.”

Rakul Preet Singh is best known as the Bollywood star of films like De De Pyaar De and Nannaku Permatho, but she could also probably get a gig as a yoga instructor if it came to that. The woman knows what she’s doing! And the results pay off for mind and body, as made clear by the swimsuit photo she just shared. “Smile away !! It’s free therapy💕💕 #islandlife 🏝” it said. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Rakul Preet Singh stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Does a Lot of Yoga

Rakul Preet Singh does yoga, and frequently shares her practice online. “Just flow,” she captioned one video of her doing a Cobra pose. To do Cobra, “you lie on the floor on your stomach with your legs straight and your toes pointed. Put your hands next to your chest on the floor. Inhale and keep your hands lightly on the floor. Lift your head, shoulders and upper back. Squeeze your buttocks and engage your core to help support your back. Hold for five breaths. Then exhale and bring your body back down to the floor. Repeat,” says the Mayo Clinic.

2. She Loves Inversions

Entertainment India NovemberProdip Guha/Getty Images

#happyinternationalyogaday to all of you,” she once wrote. “I was never a yoga person until I did a class with @anshukayoga . These inversions have been life altering. My world is perfect when I hang upside down ..internal peace , happiness , calm and recovery from injuries . Thankuuu @anshukayoga.” Positioning your body downward that can lead to lymphatic drainage and other benefits. “Results from this study show that yogic practices enhance muscular strength and body flexibility, promote and improve respiratory and cardiovascular function, promote recovery from and treatment of addiction, reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, improve sleep patterns, and enhance overall well-being and quality of life,” according to one journal. To put it another way: “When life turns upside down simply adjust your view,” she has said.

3. She Loves a Good Stretch

Mumbai Celebrity SightingsProdip Guha/Hindustan Times via Getty Images

“Choose stretching over stressing,” Rakul Preet Singh has said. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage,” says Harvard Health.

4. She Relaxes With Yoga Nidra

Entertainment India FebruaryGetty Images

“Yoga nidra involves slowing down and chilling out. So does meditation. While some people tend to lump them together, they really are two different practices,” says the Cleveland Clinic. “Yoga nidra is like meditation, but yet it’s not,” says yoga therapist and yoga program manager, Judi Bar. “There are overlaps, but there also are key differences. With yoga nidra, you are lying down and the goal is to move into a deep state of conscious awareness sleep, which is a deeper state of relaxation with awareness. This state involves moving from consciousness while awake to dreaming and then to not-dreaming while remaining awake — going past the unconscious to the conscious.”

5. She Brinks Barley Water

INDIA-ENTERTAINMENT-CINEMA-BOLLYWOODSUJIT JAISWAL/AFP via Getty Images

"Thinking how to beat the summer heat?” Rakul Preet Singh asked once, and then recommended barley water. Any kind of water is great for you, as long as it’s unsweetened. “Drinking water can help your:

  • Blood: Water ensures that your blood is just the right consistency to carry oxygen- and nutrient-rich blood to the areas that need it, including your brain, heart, kidneys and muscles.
  • Joints: Think of your joints like the gears of your car. They need to be well-lubricated to work and last.
  • Kidneys: Drinking adequate amounts of water can prevent kidney damage and disorders,” says the Cleveland Clinic.

AnanyaAnanya Panday/Instagram

Ananya posted a photo of herself doing a yoga inversion. “My favourite morning ritual 🧿🦋❤️🧘🏻‍♀️ the world is truly better upside down 😝 @anshukayoga @rysapanday,” she captioned it. “ There exists an indisputable connection between a person's overall physical and mental health and the inner peace and well-being yoga is designed to achieve. Yoga suspends the fluctuations of the mind and by acting consciously, we live better and suffer less,” says one study. “Health care professionals, health educators and the like, need to be aware of the potential of yoga as an important component of a personal wellness plan.”

2. She Dances

Ananya just shared a video of her dancing. “Hooked to this step and the vibe of this song! As they say - #JugJuggJeeyo to the team and all our love for the film from Team Liger ❤️ #ThePunjaabbanSong,” she captioned it. “If you're at risk for cardiovascular disease - start dancing. More research has shown that people with heart failure who started waltzing not only improved their heart health and breathing, but they also saw overall improvement in their quality of life. Additionally, these improvements were significantly greater than those with heart failure who cycled, or walked on a treadmill,” says the Y.

3. She Eats Green Veggies

Entertainment India - March 2022Prodip Guha/Getty Images

“Sweet potatoes, carrots, red and green peppers, kale, spinach, and broccoli all contain the antioxidant carotene. Try to choose red, orange, deep yellow and dark green leafy vegetables every day,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Cruciferous veggies taste great on their own. There’s nothing like fresh arugula from the garden. The sweet, spicy crunch of a pure, translucent slice of radish or kohlrabi is like nothing else,” says the Cleveland Clinic.

4. She Indulges Once in a While

Ananya posed with a cheeseburger recently. “Never getting over Nevada 🤠🥹 throwback to the best time shooting for Liger ,” she captioned it. “Allow yourself an indulgence every now and then. A candy bar or handful of potato chips won't derail your heart-healthy diet. But don't let it turn into an excuse for giving up on your healthy-eating plan. If overindulgence is the exception, rather than the rule, you'll balance things out over the long term. What's important is that you eat healthy foods most of the time,” says the Mayo Clinic.

5. She Likes a Bold Brow

Bold brows are very “in” now and Ananya is on trend. One study found stress can inhibit hair growth and another study found olive oil may stimulate hair growth. And stay active. “Participating in sports and other physical activities — particularly those that don't emphasize a particular weight or body shape — can help promote good self-esteem and a positive body image,” says the Mayo Clinic.

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Everybody Health & Leisure says, “It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to build strength and endurance, enhances coordination and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Not to mention, it’s a fantastic way to burn calories.”

She Boxes

Another thing that Sharvari does to keep herself in shape is box. She first picked this up when training for the film, Vedaa. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself punching a bag. Entertainment India - March 2023

Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
