Yoga is Mallika’s go-to workout.“It’s been five to six years that I have been doing Iyengar Yoga. I love it because it is based on alignment of the body and is very good for your mental health, too. It is like meditation, it is a great stress reliever and promotes positive inflow, which I really enjoy. That’s the main reason I do Iyengar yoga. The physical benefits are secondary,” she told DT Next. Why does she love it? “I feel really calm, it makes you really strong mentally. You can deal with anything. I keep travelling a lot and I don’t like long flights. So, whenever I am taking a long flight like 10 hours, I get very stressed. And I have realised Iyengar Yoga really helps me. Also, it has helped me with my food cravings. I used to love sugar. Since I started doing Iyengar Yoga regularly, all the sugar cravings have gone away. The days I do my practice, I sleep more deeply. All these little things help me in my day to day life.”

Kate Sharma, the actress, model and influencer, loves to share her everyday life with her fans, including her many outfit changes. Sharma posted a reel of herself walking and posing in a black bathing suit and see-through skirt, with the hashtag “reel it, feel it.” How does she stay so fit? 1. She Loves To Take Baths

Sharma loves the physical and mental benefits of taking regular baths. “Baths help many people sleep well,” says family medicine provider Amy Zack, MD. “They also create a good environment for meditation, thought and escape from everyday stressors.”

Baths have been a popular way to relax and unwind for centuries, and there are a number of potential health benefits associated with taking a soak in the tub. Here are a few examples:

  1. Stress relief: The warm water and the act of soaking in a bath can help to relax the muscles and reduce stress. In fact, research has shown that taking a warm bath can lower blood pressure and heart rate, both of which can be indicators of stress.
  2. Improved sleep: The relaxation and stress-reducing effects of a bath can also help to improve sleep quality. A warm bath before bedtime can help you fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more refreshed.
  3. Pain relief: Soaking in warm water can help to reduce muscle pain and soreness, particularly after exercise. The buoyancy of the water can also help to take the weight off of sore joints, making it easier to move around.

2. She Swims

Sharma enjoys swimming as part of her fitness regimen. "Because the activity is less weight-bearing, certain groups of people can take advantage of it if they want to be active,” says Brian Wright, associate professor of kinesiology at DePauw University. “One can also continue to do it late into one's age, as opposed to weight-bearing activities like running.”

3. She’s a Dancer

Like most Bollywood stars, Sharma is an accomplished dance performer. “When you begin moving, you immediately release the brain chemicals dopamine, adrenaline, and endorphins, causing a powerful and lasting effect I call ‘energized optimism,’” says Kelly McGonigal, PhD.

4. She Enjoys Indian Snacks

Pani,Puri,,Golgappe,,Chat,Item,,IndiaShutterstock

Sharma is a big fan of pani puri, an Indian street snack consisting of fried dough balls filled with vegetables. "The water used in pani puri are flavors of cumin, mint and tamarind,” says Senior Clinical Dietician Neha Bhatia. “Mint water and cumin are good for weight loss. Not just for weight loss, mint water is good for health as well. It can help in curing irritable bowel syndrome, provide relief to indigestion and improve immunity. Mint also has fiber, vitamin A, iron, manganese and folate."

5. She Loves the Beach

Sharma loves spending time at the beach. “The physical sensation of putting your feet in warm sand causes people to relax,” says Richard Shuster, PsyD. “We’ve been conditioned to think of the beach as peaceful and relaxing. We expect when we go to the beach that we are going to relax.”

Spending time at the beach can have a number of health benefits. Here are a few examples:

  1. Improved mental health: The sound of the waves and the smell of the saltwater can help to relax the mind and reduce stress. In fact, research has shown that spending time in natural environments can help to improve mental health and reduce the risk of depression and anxiety.
  2. Increased vitamin D: Sun exposure is an important source of vitamin D, which is essential for strong bones and a healthy immune system. Spending time at the beach can help you get more vitamin D, which can be difficult to get from food alone.
  3. Increased physical activity: The beach is a great place for physical activity, such as swimming, surfing, or playing beach sports. Exercise is important for overall health, as it can help to improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones and muscles, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity and diabetes.
  4. Improved skin health: The sun's UV rays can have a drying effect on the skin, but the saltwater and sand at the beach can help to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. The ocean's minerals can also help to improve skin conditions such as acne and eczema.
  5. Improved sleep: The relaxation and stress-reducing effects of spending time at the beach can also help to improve sleep quality. Getting enough restful sleep is important for overall health, as it helps to repair the body and support immune function.

The Indian actress flaunts her incredible figure via her latest social media post, also showing off her skills behind the camera. “The result of taking your own photos,” she captioned the Instagram snaps, taken via a timer as she stood on the beach. 1. She Exercises for Beauty Benefits

Anushka breaks a sweat not only to stay in shape, but to maintain her beauty. “It's important to exercise not just to be healthy and fit but it even reflects on your skin and hair. I am very particular about my workouts and try not to miss it even when I'm shooting," she told Vogue India.

2. She Has a Workout Buddy

Sharma often works out with her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli. A workout buddy can be a great motivator if you are struggling to stay focused. “When you are about to go to workout, you might feel that you aren’t feeling like doing so but you have to push yourself. So, we are trying to do that because there is obviously a lot of time in hand and we are just trying to do things which will just keep us physically feeling good, immunity high and also mentally feeling better (sic),” she said in an interview with her husband during the pandemic.

3. Her Diet Is Healthy

You won’t find Anushka on an extreme diet. “I think Virat and me are people who don’t believe in diets and we just have a lifestyle which is very healthy. We have always been like that,” she said during the same interview. “There are certain things we don’t eat because they are not good for you. We try to eat food which is alkaline so it’s kind of easy on the stomach and keeps you healthy because if your body is alkaline your immunity is good and that’s something that we have always followed.”

4. She Does Pilates

Entertainment India - May 2022Prodip Guha/Getty Images

Anushka loves pilates. Her trainer, Megha Kawale, revealed during an interview to build up strength. “When we started our journey with Pilates together, it was to take care of her sensitive lower back and build a strong core. So our focus was always the core and our aim was to elevate her fitness levels further," Kawale told Vogue. "Initially, we did a lot of isolated core work as I wanted to ensure that we don’t stress her back, while working on core activation and recruitment. Then gradually we starting mixing the routines in the reformer and chair by doing combination core exercises.”

5. She Is Consistent

Consistency is key when it comes to working out, per Sharma. “Just working out, more than anything else, it’s giving me a routine, it’s giving Virat a routine," she said during the interview. Aside from pilates, she loves weight training, yoga, and running.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video.
