Luckily, she then had a wake-up call that allowed her to change her lifestyle. “I didn’t look at my body like it was healthy — when you’re going through emotional turmoil, it’s hard to eat. Morris’ trainer, Erin Oprea, tells Us Weekly that the singer is comfortable with her body, even after welcoming her first child in 2020, and isn’t in any rush to lose weight. “She doesn’t have this, ‘I want to bounce back kind of mentality,’ which I freaking love, after having a baby,” Oprea says. “She has this, ‘I want to feel good, but I still want to love life.’ And I think it’s cool. My goal for her [is] slow and steady, enjoy the journey.”

After seeing Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born, Morris told Women’s Health that she decided to start going to therapy. She says that she saw a lot of similarities between her life and Lady Gaga’s character, and wanted to prevent some of the things that happened in the film. “I had to go to therapy. Not the substance abuse part, but there were things that happened to [Lady Gaga's] character that happened to me. That movie rocked us both. We were like, 'We can never end up like this. Cool?'"
