1. She Fights

Obviously, mixed martial arts is Miesha’s go-to workout. “I’m passionate about jiu-jitsu because there’s so much to learn—it’s a never-ending story. I continue to evolve in wrestling, but that’s where I came from—it’s my base,” she explained to Muscle & Fitness.

2. She Is Active Outdoors

Miesha maintains an active lifestyle outside. “I’m an outdoorsy person. I love being in the water, whether it’s on a boat or just relaxing, and I love inner tubing. I also love camping or just being in the sun, enjoying life!” she told Muscle & Fitness.

3. She Trains “Smarter, Not Harder”

Tenth Annual Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Arts AwardsGabe Ginsberg/Getty Images

“I’ve learned firsthand that training smarter, not harder, is just better,” Miesha explained to Muscle & Fitness. “Doing this sport for so long, I know my body really well. I’ve had fights where I have definitely overtrained and didn’t give myself enough rest between fights or during training camp.” She uses heart-rate monitors to track her recovery each morning to see where she is at, “and if it’s a day to push really hard or take it a little lighter,” she said. “I also use it when I’m sparring to make sure my heart rate’s getting up high enough.” Her post-workout recovery involves taking a cold ice bath.

4. She Eats Red Meat

Miesha is a carnivore. “I like to eat red meat—it helps me keep my iron levels up. I also eat a lot of veggies. If you’re low on calories or missing something in your diet, you can definitely feel it when you’re pushing your body to the limits. Whatever you put into your body is what you’re going to get out of it,” she told Muscle & Fitness about her diet.

5. She Goes Even Harder for Fights

When Miesha needs to get ready for a big fight, she puts the work in. “[Training camp] for a title fight starts at least 10 weeks out. We train two to three times a day, up to six hours in the gym a day. I start at 10 a.m. with strength, conditioning, and technique. Around 4 p.m. I focus on mixed martial arts [MMA] training. Some days are more about grappling, others striking, but it all incorporates MMA,” she told Muscle & Fitness.

6. She Claims Eating This Cheese Helped Her Lose Wieght

While on Celebrity Big Brother, Tate told Insider that she lost weight by eating egg whites and a certain type of cheese. "I was eating a lot of goat cheese," she said, explaining that it provides a lot of "bang with your buck" compared to other cheeses."It's less calories for an ounce of goat cheese than cheddar cheese for instance," she said. For a “treat” she would indulge in blueberry goat cheese.

7. She Ingests Coconut Oil

Tate told Shape magazine in 2016 that she ingests two servings of coconut oil a day. However, she added to Insider that while she cooks with it, if she is training for a fight and trying to lose weight, she will omit it. "When I'm so strict on my calories, a lot of times I just don't get to add any oils," she said. "So I would rather add something like cheese that has a nutritional benefit as opposed to an oil, because I have to balance everything."

8. She’s In the Best Shape of Her Life

In 2021, Miesha shared on social media that she was proud of her progress. “I’ve never been in this good of shape, I’ve never taken my job more seriously. I have tools and resources never available to me before. Everything is on the line. My body has done the most incredible things but the best is yet to come!” she said.

1. She Pushes Herself

In an interview with The Star, Tate confessed that her pressure for success only comes from within and she uses it as fuel. “I feel like most of the pressure that I feel usually comes from myself and wanting to do better as an artist myself,” she told them.

2. She Dances

Prior to becoming a singer, Tate was a dancer. “If you don’t already know, I love to dance. I’ve been dancing all my life. I can’t wait for my live shows coming up so everyone can see that I’m not just a singer or just a dancer, I’m both,” she told Refinery 29. “I started dancing around the age of 6. It began as a hobby that I was definitely not seriously interested in. I loved performing, but hated when I actually had to do what I was told,” she added to Everly. “I only started getting serious when my mom took me to New York at age 8. I was extremely inspired and motivated! It gave me something to work toward and was the moment when I realized I wanted to dance for the rest of my life. From then on, I have been training nonstop and am always pushing myself to my greatest potential.”

3. She Has Struggled with Body Image Issues

2022 iHeartRadio Wango Tango - ArrivalsJon Kopaloff/Getty Images

Tate has been staring at her body since she was a child. “It’s really difficult because I would see myself every single day since the age of seven in a high-cut leotard and tights. So you’d be staring at yourself in a mirror for eight hours a day, judging your body. Sometimes I feel delusional because I’m like, “I have no idea what my body looks like,” she told Fashion. “I used to go to ballet schools in Germany and they would take measurements of every single part of my body at age nine. At the time, I didn’t even realize how much that was messing with me mentally, but I was already thinking about my body image. No one should be thinking about their body in that kind of way at a young age,” she continued. “Even though I’m starting to convince myself to love myself, there are a lot of things that dance has brought me that make navigating fashion so much harder. Because when you feel like you don’t know what you look like, it can be hard to take risks.”

4. She Strives for Self-Acceptance

Tate strives for self-acceptance. “As a public figure, it’s hard because you’re putting yourself out there for people to judge you. I’m growing up and my body’s changing every single day. And while I’m just trying to accept my own body, so are millions of other people on the internet,” she told Fashion.

5. She Loves to Cook and Eat

Fried,Brussel,Sprouts,With,Ham,And,OnionsShutterstock

Tate hasn’t revealed many details about her diet, but she told Fashion that she loves to cook. “I don’t usually watch a lot of TV, but when I do, I’m obsessed with cooking shows. My favorite food [is] Brussels sprouts or dark chocolate,” she said. She added to Refinery 29 that she has one go-to comfort food: Toast.

In an Instagram post she explained that her doctor called her. “Mia I’m so sorry but your test results came back and I need you to go to Johns Hopkins Cancer Center today for further evaluation,” she wrote in a moving post. “You can only imagine the overwhelming amount of emotion G and I endured trying to figure out why. However, even with such terrible news, I felt an extreme amount of peace and energy instilled that allowed me to remain strong. I’ve been in and out of visits to specialists every day and the storm is not over but this experience is changing me. I am working with a phenomenal team of physicians and I appreciate the outpouring of support. I have not been diagnosed as yet so please keep me in prayer,” she continued. “I know God has a plan and I know we are often challenged to remain humbled that tomorrow is not promised and that our days on this earth are numbered. A message from my heart. A gentle reminder to Live, Love & Forgive as if today was your last.” The next month she gave an update that no cancer was found.

Mia loves spending time near the ocean. One way she stays in shape while enjoying the beach and vacationing with her family is by jet skiing. Not only is jet skiing fun, but it is a great way to burn a lot of calories, practice proper balance, release stress, and work multiple muscle groups.

"Think about the parts of your life that work well. Remember the skills you've used to cope with challenges," says the Mayo Clinic. "Be kind and encouraging to yourself. Instead of thinking a situation won't go well, focus on the positive."

WWE star Maryse Mizanin is sharing stunning pictures from her recent trip to Cabo. 1. She Loves HIIT

WWE SummerSlam After Party Red CarpetBryan Steffy/Getty Images

Mizanin loves doing HIIT workouts, and encourages all women to try the method. "My favorite thing to do is HITT workouts, or high interval intensity workouts," she says. "I like to do that because I'm not really a cardio person. HITT is basically working your entire body, and it's burning [calories] for about eight to 12 hours after you work out. A HITT workout is basically three to four complexes and a complex is about three exercises that you can do about three to four times with no rest. Your heart rate is always up and you're lifting weights… Women are sometimes afraid they'll get bulky and big, but that's not true. You'll get curves and just be lean, very lean. That's the trick. Doing cardio is not really going to help in that way."

2. Embracing Her Post-Pregnancy Body

US-ENTERTAINMENT-NBCValerie Macon/Getty Images

Mizanin has two daughters, Madison and Monroe, and refused to obsess about “bouncing back” on a timeline. “I’ve been pregnant twice in two years; when Monroe was 8 months [old], I got pregnant,” she says. “I was just getting back to feeling like myself physically and looking like the way I used to. And then I got pregnant right away. It just takes time to get back to yourself. It takes nine months to make a baby, it takes nine months to [bounce back]. That’s true — sometimes longer. Everything inside of you needs to go back to normal and it doesn’t just happen overnight. You created a human being, you know? It takes time to get back there.”

3. She Takes Ice Baths

Miz & Mrs. Visit ExtraNoel Vasquez/Getty Images

Mizanin is a big fan of ice baths, which studies show can be especially effective after HIIT exercises. “It showed that cold water immersion was an effective recovery tool after high intensity exercise, specifically HIIT exercises,” says Dr. Dominic King, a sports medicine physician in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. “Ice baths can reduce pain and inflammation. “It can numb pain receptors and bring down inflammation, so you can almost think of it as like a drug-free anesthetic.”

4. She Plays Golf

Celebrities Visit SiriusXM - July 19, 2018Mireya Acierto/Getty Images

Mizanin enjoys the occasional game of golf. “Golf can provide health-enhancing physical activity,” says Andrew Murray, co-director of Edinburgh University’s Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Group. “It can also be an effective treatment for anxiety, depression and dementia.”

“We know from several studies that even mild exercise like walking 30 minutes three times a week can reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety,” says Sheenie Ambardar, MD. “In addition, being outside while playing golf exposes people to natural light, which helps maintain a regular circadian rhythm and aids in the production of serotonin, which in turn reduces symptoms of depression.”

5. She Is Mindful of Her Diet

"I love chocolate cake," she says. "I'm French. I also love cheese and bread, so I could just live on that. But I can't do that to myself, so I have to moderate. Chocolate cake twice a week, definitely, then high protein, low carbs and low fats… Eating is 80 percent of everything. Working out for an hour is really easy, but the rest of the day is 23 hours and that's the hardest part."

1. Wrestling Is Her Main Workout

“My training routine is kind of crazy, because I do a lot of traveling,” she told Kung Fu Kingdom. “So, I don’t really have a set routine, but of course, wrestling is my priority. I have some great people who help me with things like diet too, and whenever I have time, I train in judo and jiu-jitsu. So a lot of it depends on my traveling schedule, but for the ring material, I’m always preparing for that.”

2. She Plays Soccer

Tay has another surprising stay-fit hobby: Soccer. “I started judo in a soccer club, so I’ve always had a love for soccer. So it’s like, Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, all martial arts, then soccer!” she said about her passions.

3. She Eats “Super Clean” Most of the Time

Rice,,Tomato,And,SteakShutterstock

Tay eats healthy as often as possible. ”I try to eat super clean – but of course, I end up having pizza and burgers! Every time I’m on the road, I try to eat super clean. Rice and steak are my go to’s every time, and I also love carbs, so I have something with carbs every day,” she told Kung Fu Kingdom.

4. She Works Out Al Fresco

During a previous trip to Tulum, she shared photos and videos of an outdoor workout, doing squats and pullups in her swimsuit. “I’m in love with jungle gym 😍 workout in a bikini and with sea view ... it’s a dream,” she tweeted about the outdoor gym.

5. She Has a Positive Attitude

Tay lives by the following mantra: “Believe in yourself.” She told Kung Fu Kingdom: It’s so simple and cliché, but I think it’s really important. When you believe in yourself and put in hard work, anything can happen. Whether you’re poor, or rich, and have your family helping you out, if you believe in yourself, and you work hard, you’ll be able to do whatever you want.”

Ana Zelu is a professional model and social media influencer. She is known for her content in nature. Zelu recently shared a post on Instagram of herself on a surfboard in the ocean. She captioned it, “Yesterday was such a fun shoot, I just had to share these with you 🤍 🛥️But picture number #4?? That photobomb totally got me 😂 Which picture is your favorite ?🌊”

She Swims

As you can see from her post, Zelu likes to swim. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief.”

She Doesn't Compare Herself to Others

Zelu shares a lot of her thoughts on Instagram. In this post, she talked about no longer comparing herself to others. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today’s contemplation led me to a profound understanding of the detrimental impact comparison has on our lives. It’s like a silent intruder, subtly creeping into our thoughts and poisoning our perception of ourselves and others. It’s a universal struggle, one that weighs heavily on the hearts of many. I’ve come to realize that comparison is the ultimate thief of joy. It robs us of our ability to appreciate our own journey and achievements, as we constantly measure ourselves against an idealized version of others. I’ve resolved to break free from its grasp. We should choose to celebrate our own unique path, recognizing that each step forward is a triumph in itself. Rather than fixating on external benchmarks set by others, I’m focusing on personal growth and development. Whether it’s through learning new skills, cultivating gratitude, or simply practicing self-compassion, every effort counts.”

She Hikes

Zelu is seen on a hike in the previous Instagram post. Harvard Health states that hiking is very beneficial. “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”

She’s Resilient

Resilience is another important thing to Zelu. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Dear Diary 💭📝, I witnessed something truly remarkable that touched my heart deeply. It’s amazing how people can go through the toughest storms in life and yet remain gentle, patient, and kind. I saw someone who faced challenges that would break most people, yet they chose to respond with grace and humility. Their ability to stay calm and compassionate in the face of adversity is nothing short of admirable. It made me realize the beauty of resilience – the strength to keep going even when life throws its hardest punches. These individuals not only endure the storms but also emerge from them with a spirit that shines brighter than before. Their example reminds me of the power of kindness and the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the darkest of times. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, there is beauty to be found 💕🫶”

She’s Accepted Herself

Zelu talked about the importance of acceptance in this Instagram post’s caption. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but amidst it all, I feel like I’ve taken a step closer to the right direction. Letting go of the past is like shedding a heavy coat I’ve been carrying for far too long. It’s not easy to release the memories, the pain, the regrets, but today, I made a choice to loosen the grip they had on me. It’s like taking a deep breath after being underwater for too long—refreshing and liberating. Forgiving myself has been a journey filled with tears and moments of self-doubt. But today, I finally understood that I deserve the same forgiveness and understanding I give to others. It’s like giving myself a warm hug, wrapping myself in kindness and acceptance.”

Penn State PRO Wellness explained, “Riding a stationary bike can help build strength in your legs and lower body, especially if you use a higher resistance. The pedaling action can help strengthen your calves, hamstrings, and quadriceps. Additionally, it can work the muscles in your core, back, and glutes. If you use a bicycle with handles, you’ll also be able to work your upper body muscles, including your biceps, triceps, and shoulders.”

She Runs

Viciconte shared this Instagram video of herself working out. In it, she is seen doing running exercises. Viciconte captioned it, “When we exercise, our body releases endorphin, a natural substance produced by the brain during and after physical activity. The release of endorphin, also known as the 'joy hormone', helps you relax, reduces stress, anxiety and improves your mood. I always say that it's never too late to start moving, so you know that tomorrow you have no excuse 💪🏻”
