She Is Very Physically Active

Driver maintains a very active lifestyle for both her body and mind. "I do an enormous amount of physical activity: it makes me feel so good and is very much part of my mental health too," she told Financial Times. "The good news is that even small amounts of physical activity can immediately reduce symptoms of anxiety in adults and older adults. Depression has also shown to be responsive to physical activity. Research suggests that increased physical activity, of any kind, can improve depression symptoms experienced by people across the lifespan. Engaging in regular physical activity has also been shown to reduce the risk of developing depression in children and adults," says Health.gov.

She Embraces Her Age

Minnie believes that age is just a number. "Sick of this '50 is the new…'      50 has always been 50. Women were previously just expected to shrivel and accept their husk. I suppose it must be terrifying to a lot men if we actually burned brighter, hotter, more ambitious and emancipated from shame, the older we got. #50," she she tweeted in 2020. "I don't really stop with the whole notion of getting older," she added during a recent appearance on Good Morning America. "It bugs me the whole idea that I have to change anything about my life, because I feel exactly the same on the inside."

She Swims

"Every day I swim in the Pacific Ocean. And every day I feel my mum swimming alongside me," she told Telegraph about how she feels closer to her late mother. She added to Financial Times that her happy place is "By the ocean, with my son."

She Talks It Out

Talking about pain is therapy for Minnie, which is one of the reasons she started her podcast, Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver. "My manager suggested I do a podcast because I am always asking questions, always trying to get to the stuff of life and creativity. I loved the interview process, it felt very freeing," she told Telegraph. "When you go through massive life changes you do start breaking down barriers and connecting in different ways and it all helps. None of us live perfect lives, things happen but we just have to find our way through. I'm finding my way and I'm grateful for anything that helps."

This Is Her Favorite Meal

What is Minnie's favorite meal? "Roast chicken, roast potatoes, bread sauce, parsnips, leeks, green beans. Either cooked by myself, my mother or my sister because we all make the best roasts and the best gravy," she told Telegraph.

She Surfs

Minnie, who lives in a 2-bedroom cottage on the ocean in Malibu, is an avid surfer. In this post, she shows off her wave riding skills. "Riding a wave in the Ocean where I live. She is my other great love. I would do anything to protect her," she wrote on World Oceans Day.
