Minnie believes that age is just a number. "Sick of this '50 is the new…'      50 has always been 50. Women were previously just expected to shrivel and accept their husk. I suppose it must be terrifying to a lot men if we actually burned brighter, hotter, more ambitious and emancipated from shame, the older we got. #50," she she tweeted in 2020. "I don't really stop with the whole notion of getting older," she added during a recent appearance on Good Morning America. "It bugs me the whole idea that I have to change anything about my life, because I feel exactly the same on the inside."

She Swims

"Every day I swim in the Pacific Ocean. And every day I feel my mum swimming alongside me," she told Telegraph about how she feels closer to her late mother. She added to Financial Times that her happy place is "By the ocean, with my son."

She Talks It Out

Talking about pain is therapy for Minnie, which is one of the reasons she started her podcast, Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver. "My manager suggested I do a podcast because I am always asking questions, always trying to get to the stuff of life and creativity. I loved the interview process, it felt very freeing," she told Telegraph. "When you go through massive life changes you do start breaking down barriers and connecting in different ways and it all helps. None of us live perfect lives, things happen but we just have to find our way through. I'm finding my way and I'm grateful for anything that helps."

Minnie, who lives in a 2-bedroom cottage on the ocean in Malibu, is an avid surfer. In this post, she shows off her wave riding skills. "Riding a wave in the Ocean where I live. She is my other great love. I would do anything to protect her," she wrote on World Oceans Day.
