She also posted this photo of herself in the ocean in Palhoca. "There are health benefits of sunlight. Vitamin D is produced when your skin is exposed to sunshine, or rather, the ultraviolet B (UV-B) radiation that the sun emits. The amount of vitamin D that your skin makes depends on such factors as the season, the time of day, where you live and the melanin content of your skin," says the Cleveland Clinic.

2. She Doesn’t Question Her Instincts

In this revealing post on Instagram, Beltrán opened up about her decision making process. She says that she always trusts her instincts. “Many times we devalue it, we question and even mistrust the decisions we make instinctively. Perhaps because by deciding on the fly, we feel more vulnerable and less in control (if we ever had any) of what happens around us.”

3. She Uses A Resistance Band

When Beltrán is doing her leg day workouts, she sometimes opts for a resistance band. Beltran posted this series of gym photos on Instagram of herself doing exercises with the band around her thighs. She captioned the post, “Training is my ground wire. My little place to escape the routine, download and continue the day with better energy.”

4. She Does High Intensity Workouts

Beltrán is seen jumping over the barbell into push ups, and lifting the weight itself. "High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a type of exercise training which alternates between higher intensity exercise bouts separated by recovery periods of complete rest or light intensity exercise within the same workout session. HIIT exercise can be performed using any modality including body weight and intervals can range from 10 seconds to 4 minutes and rest period duration can be adapted based on training goals and fitness level. HIIT is safe and well-tolerated for most individuals including some with chronic health conditions," says the Mayo Clinic.

5. She Plays Soccer

Being a sports reporter, Beltrán has a love of sports. She also loves to play them. One sport she likes in particular is soccer. In this reel on instagram, Beltran is seen kicking the ball around with a friend. "Playing on the soccer team has obvious physical benefits for your kid. But, a recent study shows that engaging in team sports may also help kids fend off depression," says the Mayo Clinic. "The study looked at data on 9,668 children. Researchers found that, among the children who were exposed to adverse childhood experiences (such as abuse, parental separation or household substance abuse), those who participated in team sports reported better mental health in adulthood."

During the heart of the pandemic, “I feel like at the beginning I was kind of working out in an unhealthy way. I think I was just going for it because I felt like that was something I could control and of course that wasn’t sustainable. And I wasn’t really going online or taking classes or anything like that because I - I don’t know I felt like I had to deal with this on my own, but that wasn’t sustainable so I kind of fell off and now I’m really looking forward to introducing some new stuff into my routine as well, you know before I was on this working out alone tip and I’m LONELY now. I want to connect with people so this is an exciting way,” she told HOLA.

2. This is What She Listens to When Working Out

“I‘m actually a 90s girl! It’s really funny cause I’m trying to get pumped and listening to- actually no- Alanis Morissette can really pump a girl up and you have such a mix you have some Alanis to TLC to Salt and Pepa so I’m into it, it takes me back to when I was a kid and free,” she told Hola.

3. This is Her Morning Ritual

“I have hot water and lemon every morning before I eat anything. I drink that so my stomach settles and because it’s good for your digestion. Plus, the lemon gives me an energy boost that I can’t get from coffee. It’s part of my morning ritual, and rituals are really good to balance stress and anxiety. This one really helps me a lot,” she told Glamour.

4. This is One Go-To Meal

“That would be a vegetable stir-fry because it’s so easy. I put olive oil, salt, pepper, a little paprika to have a little spice, and a little bit of apple cider vinegar to give it a bit of a tangy flavor. I make it with couscous or rice, and then grab the vegetables from the fridge and put them in a stir-fry. You can have a meal for two days,” she told Glamour.

5. She’s a Warrior

Guerrero is an activist, and has written about the deportation of her Colombian parents, which happened when she was just 14, in her shattering memoir In the Country We Love. (She also wrote My Family Divided, a coming-of-age memoir.) “My last name means warrior,” Guerrero said. “I am the daughter of immigrants. It’s not my entire identity, but certainly informs it. I’ve been able to use that truth to really propel me forward in a time where the odds were really against me. And a lot of the odds are against a lot of people who go through separation or the systemic barriers that are in place for a lot of black and brown women,” she told SheKnows.

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
