Nicki Minaj, the iconic rapper and songwriter, has now added being a mom to her list. After giving birth to her first child, she focused hard on her body and health, incorporating good habits into her daily routine while maintaining her curves. The proof is on display in her latest post in a swimsuit. "Global Ambassador of @maximbetusa & creative director of @maximmag - let the games begin 🎀💕," she captioned it. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Nicki Minaj stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Dances To Shed The Weight

Dancing is a big part of Nicki Minaj‘s workout routine. She really enjoys it and she’s good at it. I mean, just rewatch the Anaconda music video if you need a reminder that she brings it on the dance floor. With the rehearsals and performances Nicki puts on, dancing is a perfect exercise routine for her. "The best kinds of dancing to encourage people to take up are those which develop cooperation, either with a partner or within a set. Each type has its own qualities and makes its own demands but there should be something suitable for almost everyone in your area. Even wheelchair-users have their own formation-dancing teams, providing a good non-competitive alternative to basketball," says one study.

2. She Allows a Cheat Now and Then

When she wants a cheat meal, she goes right for the burgers and other classic junk food, but she aims to balance it back out during the week. A burger or a slice of pizza won’t be detrimental to your health if you balance it out with greens and exercise. The occasional cheat meal is ok if you offset the extra calories somewhere else. “If you feel less deprived by eating that piece of cake, or burger and fries, and don’t feel you have to order one of everything off the menu, it could lead to better long-term outcomes,” says Julia Zumpano, RD, LD.

3. She Prioritizes Cardio

Nicki aims for 30-40 minutes of cardio, generally 3 or 4 days a week. One of her favorite ways to squeeze in cardio is by using the elliptical. It gets the job done, leading to a good sweat session, and has less of an impact on your joints.

4. She's Not Too Hard On Herself

MTV EMAs 2018 - Winners RoomDaniele Venturelli/Getty Images

With Nicki Minaj‘s diet, she’s far from strict and goes easy on herself. She definitely tries to eat healthy the majority of the time, by incorporating a lot of greens, chicken, salads, and fruits into her diet. She also makes an effort to drink enough water, sometimes excessively approaching 2 gallons sometimes. She says it also helps to detox her skin.

5. Nicki Loves Strength Training

Nicki does weight training 3 to 4 times a week and adds it into her full body workout. Having the utmost confidence in her body is important to her, but her main priority is staying healthy and focusing on toning her muscles. "As you incorporate strength training exercises into your fitness routine, you may notice improvement in your strength over time. As your muscle mass increases, you'll likely be able to lift weight more easily and for longer periods of time. If you keep it up, you can continue to increase your strength, even if you're not in shape when you begin," says the Mayo Clinic.

Rapper Nicki Minaj has an exciting announcement soon. And she let her fans know when and where they will find out about it. Minaj shared a new Instagram post with the details. Hunnit rounds on dat gratata.” In the post, Minaj wore a white and blue striped bathing suit, her impressive figure on display. How does she stay so fit? 1. She Works With A Dermatologist

Minaj has amazing skin, and she seeks professional advice to help herself take care of it. The rapper told Hello! Magazine that she seeks advice from a dermatologist to keep her skin healthy. “I have a dermatologist in LA who gave me some great advice,” she says. “Never use anything to wash my skin that contains alcohol or oil, and those rules really work for me. Before I would buy something from a store and I would either dry out or break out.”

2. She Cuts Things Out Of Her Diet

Celebrity Sightings in New York City - February 12, 2020Robert Kamau/GC Images

When it comes to getting healthy, Minaj focuses more on her diet. She says to Hello! Magazine that she likes to cut things out. “If I'm not on tour, and I have to do something on camera, I will follow a quick diet and drink lots of water, cut out all carbs, all sugar, all dairy and all fried food. So, I would rather diet than exercise…Normally I'm a real chocolate person and I love snacks rather than food, so when I have to lose a little bit of weight, I just cut back on my snacks and drink water instead of soda and juice.”

3. She Takes Makeup Off

African,American,Woman,Holding,Cotton,Pad,Disk,Cleaning,Face,SkinShutterstock

Minaj wears a lot of makeup, and she always makes sure to take it off. She revealed her go-to removers to Grazia. “I always take my MAC wipes to take my make-up off during a flight. Especially if it’s a long one. And a face wash without alcohol in it, so I can wash my face and feel completely clean without having oil on my face.”

4. She Goes Natural

Minaj tells Grazia that she likes to wear little or no makeup on her days off to let her skin breathe. “I think it’s really important for you to let your pores breathe. I wear lots of make-up so I love having a down look and then transforming into the show look. When I’m at home I don’t wear any make-up on my skin at all. I’ll wear lip gloss or lipstick. I’ll still do my eyebrows and my eyes but that’s about it. If I’m going to the studio, I don’t do anything. I don’t even do my eyes. I’ll just put on some lip gloss on and some shades because nobody is going to see me anyway.”

5. She Raises Awareness

Minaj is all about supporting different causes. One thing she supports is HIV and AIDS research. She opened up about this to Hello! “It is important for our young generation to understand that HIV/AIDS will continue to be a global issue unless we work together to fight the disease. Awareness leads to education, education leads to empowerment and empowerment leads to change.”

Be gentle with yourself.” She no longer uses marijuana as a coping mechanism.

“I was trying to do this diet and I kept putting it off,” Minaj told ET Online about losing her pregnancy weight. But once she put her mind to it, she succeeded. “I didn’t think I could have the discipline in what I ate,” she said. “Once my mind was committed to it, my body committed to it.”

3. She Set Weight Loss Goals

Minaj told ET Online in 2020 that she was still "20 pounds away from my goal weight." But, she added, she will feel good about herself however she looks. "I’ve been talking about that this year too, about being kind to yourself, and allowing yourself to be human, while at the same time, being motivated and powerful, but also treating yourself as if you love yourself too," she said. "And being easy on yourself. Like, nothing and no one is perfect."

4. She Adapts Her Diet

Minaj adjusts her diet to maintain her physique. "When I feel I need to lose weight, I just change what I eat," she told ET. "I cut out carbs and sugar. I'll do water and protein and fruit. But I do think that you should work out."

5. She Doesn’t Work Out Much

"I don't work out,” Minaj told ET. She said that too much exercise alters her famous figure. “I hate it,” she said. “I don't mean to sound super lazy. I tried it for a time. I lost my [ample chest]." "Studies show that the total amount of energy expended is what's important for health, not whether it comes in short or long bouts," says Dr. I-Min Lee, a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School who studies the role of physical activity in disease prevention. "This certainly is an encouraging message for people who are inactive," she tells Harvard Health, which adds "that the previous guidelines recommended exercising in sessions lasting at least 10 minutes."

1. She Kick Boxes and Boxes

Fighting is her job, so Nikkita spends plenty of time training. She shared this video of herself sparring on the beach. She captioned it, "Born to be authentic. You hold the pen, so write YOUR story how YOU want." She also posted this video of herself using different bags at the gym. She captioned it, "Why hit 1 when you can hit 5."

2. She Hydrates

Nikkita makes sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. “Before I eat 😡 …. After I eat 😇 lol,” she captioned this photo. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine men should drink about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day and women about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids.

3. She Is Body Positive

During an interview with Out of Character With Ryan Satin, Nikkita explains that she shuts out the haters. "I might get hate comments, and I might get people that are saying, 'She's only popping because of this and that.' But in reality, I know that the hard work and grinding that has transpired throughout my life is paying off." She also embraces her buff body. "It's thunder thigh day. Thigh gap? It's thigh CLAP B***H," she captioned this video of her workout.

4. She Dances

Nikkita also dances. She likes to share videos of herself busting a move. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

5. She Weight Trains

Nikkita also spends a lot of time weight training to keep her body in fighting form. In this video she shares an example of her workout, doing deadlifts with a barbell, kettlebell squats, and lateral pulls with a weight. She captioned it, "New beginnings. Me vs me." "Kettlebells have been used for centuries, most famously by 19th-century strongmen. Today the weights (which range from 8 to 105 pounds) are featured in exercise classes, gyms, and fitness equipment stores, and for good reason: they work several muscle groups at a time. Holding a lot of weight by a handle engages your arm, leg, shoulder, back, and abdominal muscles. The pull on your muscles helps to strengthen them. The pull on your bones helps stimulate new bone cell growth," says Harvard Health.

Doja Cat, the rapper, is known for having a blast on social media, whether it's hosting live video chats with fans or posing in funny or provocative ways. Doja just posted a new photo of herself in the pool. She wore a blue-green bathing suit top, and held two toy foam dark guns in her hands. "@knwlslondon x @andywolfofficial + @alessandrarich 🐬🐬," she captioned it. How does she stay so fit? 1. She Strength Trains

Doja is usually pretty quiet about her workout routine. However, she does post videos of herself at the gym on her Instagram stories. In this particular video series, Doja revealed that she does a lot of strength training workouts with her trainer. She is seen doing kettlebell squats, pushing a weight forward, doing leg curls, and tricep curls.

2. She Dances

Doja has to do a lot of dancing in her career. She learns choreography for her music videos and live performances, and this is easy for her. Doja grew up dancing, and tells Dazed, “After moving from Oak Park around the age of eleven-and-a-half, I started to take up break dancing. I danced in a crew and competed around Los Angeles in organized underground cypher/battles.”

3. She Uses Her Music As Therapy

While many people think that Doja is super confident with herself, she revealed to Cosmopolitan that she used to struggle with body dysmorphia, and still does on occasion. Doja says that she likes to use her music writing process as a way of helping herself with this, and specifically cites her song “Juicy” as a particularly helpful one. “Growing up, I definitely had body dysmorphia. Without a doubt. And I’ve had it since. It started in my teens, which I think is where it starts for a lot of people. I started really growing and I never really thought I looked good in a lot of the stuff I wore. I feel like that song [Juicy] was therapeutic for me. I kind of made it for myself – well, the meaning behind it, at least. I was kind of doing it for my own happiness and I feel like other people can definitely pull some joy from that, too.”

4. She Uses Her Fame As A Chance To Look Inward

2021 MTV Video Music Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Fame can be a difficult thing to deal with. However, Doja says to Cosmopolitan that she’s used her rise to stardom as a way to look at herself and improve herself. “There’s a good side to it, because I’ve had to correct myself a lot. I’ve had to grow up because of it, and I think it’s helped me revaluate stuff and become a better person. When you get picked at a lot, and critiqued constantly because you’re under a microscope, it’s allowed me to trim off parts of myself that maybe weren’t useful to me.”

5. She’s An Activist

Doja Cat Celebrates 'Planet Her' Album Release In Los AngelesJerritt Clark/Getty Images

Doja has a large platform, and she wants to use it for good. She tells Cosmopolitan that speaking out and helping causes are important to her, and she wants to encourage others to do the same. “It doesn’t matter if it’s a public figure who’s donating something, I just think thank God that there are people out there who want to help. I have family and friends and people that I care about who are affected by this. I just want to see a better future. There are people who have a lot, maybe too much, so it’s good to give back.”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

Fitness,,Sport,,Training,,Gym,And,Lifestyle,Concept,-,Group,OfShutterstock

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram
