After giving birth to her first child, she focused hard on her body and health, incorporating good habits into her daily routine while maintaining her curves. 1. She Dances To Shed The Weight

Dancing is a big part of Nicki Minaj‘s workout routine. She really enjoys it and she’s good at it. I mean, just rewatch the Anaconda music video if you need a reminder that she brings it on the dance floor. With the rehearsals and performances Nicki puts on, dancing is a perfect exercise routine for her. "The best kinds of dancing to encourage people to take up are those which develop cooperation, either with a partner or within a set. Each type has its own qualities and makes its own demands but there should be something suitable for almost everyone in your area. Even wheelchair-users have their own formation-dancing teams, providing a good non-competitive alternative to basketball," says one study.

2. She Allows a Cheat Now and Then

When she wants a cheat meal, she goes right for the burgers and other classic junk food, but she aims to balance it back out during the week. A burger or a slice of pizza won’t be detrimental to your health if you balance it out with greens and exercise. The occasional cheat meal is ok if you offset the extra calories somewhere else. “If you feel less deprived by eating that piece of cake, or burger and fries, and don’t feel you have to order one of everything off the menu, it could lead to better long-term outcomes,” says Julia Zumpano, RD, LD.

3. She Prioritizes Cardio

Nicki aims for 30-40 minutes of cardio, generally 3 or 4 days a week. One of her favorite ways to squeeze in cardio is by using the elliptical. It gets the job done, leading to a good sweat session, and has less of an impact on your joints.

4. She's Not Too Hard On Herself

With Nicki Minaj‘s diet, she’s far from strict and goes easy on herself. She definitely tries to eat healthy the majority of the time, by incorporating a lot of greens, chicken, salads, and fruits into her diet. She also makes an effort to drink enough water, sometimes excessively approaching 2 gallons sometimes. She says it also helps to detox her skin.

5. Nicki Loves Strength Training

Nicki does weight training 3 to 4 times a week and adds it into her full body workout. Having the utmost confidence in her body is important to her, but her main priority is staying healthy and focusing on toning her muscles. "As you incorporate strength training exercises into your fitness routine, you may notice improvement in your strength over time. As your muscle mass increases, you'll likely be able to lift weight more easily and for longer periods of time. If you keep it up, you can continue to increase your strength, even if you're not in shape when you begin," says the Mayo Clinic.
