These Are Her Favorite Workouts
Nicola revealed to Violet Grey that her two favorite ways to break a sweat include SoulCycle classes and hot yoga. Her motivational music? Rihanna. "So, what exactly are the benefits of bike riding? First, you'll get a great cardio workout that challenges your legs and core muscles without putting stress on your joints. In fact, cycling has been proven to benefit folks who have osteoarthritis. If your joints can't take the impact of running or walking, cycling can help decrease pain and increase your aerobic capacity, according to one study," says the Mayo Clinic.
She Prefers Indoor Workouts
If given the choice, Nicole will workout indoors versus outside. And, if she opts to hop on a treadmill, she will walk instead of run.
She Uses Natural Skincare products
When it comes to her skincare routine, Nicola prefers natural products. "I use a lot of natural products," she told Violet Grey. "I'm not crazy about the natural thing though. My mom has this beautiful bathroom with a million products and growing up it was so much fun to explore everything. I guess the two things I am obsessed with right now are Bioderma Sensibio H2O makeup remover and Lucas Papaw Ointment."
She Used to Play Hockey
Nicola is a former hockey player. "I have six brothers and one sister. I grew up playing ice hockey, a total tomboy, and that's what I thought I was going to do—be an ice-hockey player," she confessed to Interview.
She Doesn't Seek Validation on Social Media
Nicola shares photos on social media, but doesn't allow it to make or break her self-esteem. "You know, I really don't think about it too much. You can't let that be your validation, that's when it gets really unhealthy," she told Coveteur. "But if you use it to keep in contact with friends or family so you can see what they're doing when they post or use it to connect with your fans, that's the beautiful [thing] about it."
