The Real Housewives of Miami star Nicole Martin is spending the Memorial Day weekend in beautiful St. Barts with husband Anthony Lopez. Martin, 37, shared pictures of her trip on social media, wearing a green bikini and enjoying the sunshine with her friends. “Happy MDW 🇺🇸We’ve officially reached the start of summer!! 1. Eggs and Oatmeal

Martin sticks to a healthy diet during the week and lets herself have more freedom and enjoyment on the weekends. She starts the day with an oat milk latte and has an "egg or oatmeal dish… it could be two hard-boiled eggs or two eggs scrambled with ham or turkey and veggies" at around 10am. Martin sometimes opts for overnight oats with berries and says "Starbucks egg white bites are a time-saver" when she’s on the move.

2. Healthy Snacks

Martin’s favorite snacks are yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit, and nuts. "A 6-ounce serving of almost any brand of yogurt is a good source of protein, calcium, riboflavin and vitamin B-12," says registered dietitian Mary Meck Higgins. "Read the ingredients list and Nutrition Facts label before you buy yogurt. Compare brands, so that you know what you're getting."

3. Starting the Day With Self-Care

Martin starts the day with some valuable me-time. “A few years ago, I read The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod and since then I've made it a point to set my alarm clock 30 minutes earlier than I need to be awake,” she says. “Having this extra time, while everyone is still sleeping, makes a huge difference in my day. I spend that time focusing on gratitude, I do a quick 5 min meditation, make a daily to-do list, and some stretching/foam rolling. Those 30 minutes of quality "me time" sets the tone for a positive and productive day."

Martin protects her skin from the Miami sunshine with sun protection. "We all have [imperfections]," she says. "Makeup and Filters are fun, but don’t be fooled. Everyone has flaws and insecurities. I’ve struggled with [sunspots], hyperpigmentation and melasma for years. With a consistent [skincare] routine and skin protection, I’ve seen a big improvement. The goal isn’t perfect skin, it’s healthy skin! It all starts with [SPF]."

5. Her Health Mantra

Martin’s approach to wellness is all about setting goals. "As a full-time anesthesiologist, busy mom, and new cast member on the Real Housewives of Miami, time is tight, but if you stay organized, set specific, achievable goals you'll be surprised at how much you can accomplish!" she says. "Whatever your goals are, it always helps to make a plan that uses the 'SMART' method. Set goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time bound."
