She Juices
"When I'm sick or not feeling great, I'm all about the juices," says Dobrev. "It seems like the worse the taste, the better it is for you, so I do ginger, garlic, cayenne pepper, oregano oil—ugh, double ugh— lemon, everything." She also adds collagen peptides for a bit of protein, according to Well+Good.
She Loves to Workout
"I just love working out," she told Women's Health. She'll do yoga, a gym workout, boxing and mix it up. "I'm getting older and more conscious of what I eat and how I eat it and what I do," she says. "Doing something different [each day] has been the most fun, and I've seen the most benefit because you shock your system."
She Works Out Her Core
One of Dobrev's go-to workout moves is glute bridges with tricep extensions, as seen in an Instagram video shared by trainer to the stars Harley Pasternak. "One of my favorite Canadians @nina doing my absolute all-time favorite exercise," Pasternak captioned the video. He told Self: "I love that it's incredibly efficient," and the magazine notes that it "targets two very important posterior chain muscles (muscles on the back of the body), the butt and triceps," and Pasternak adds it "requires very little equipment" and "because you're lying on your back, your heart rate really never gets too high" so you can focus on the muscles.
She Snacks on This
"There was a period of time where I was working with a trainer who told me you have to eat every two hours so your metabolism keeps working, so that's kind of how I live my life," says Dobrev, according to Eat This, Not That!, which adds that "she says that her preferred snacks include almonds, Made Good gluten-free granola, and Smart Treats gummy candy." "They look like Swedish Fish and they kind of taste like Swedish Fish, but they're, to me, guilt-free because they don't have really high sugars in them," Dobrev explains.
She Co-Created Her Own Guilt-Free Wine
Along with Julianne Hough, Dobrev co-created her own line of wine that is low in calories. "I loved wines that were both bold and smooth. But to be honest, I had a really hard time drinking wine because … they would be filled with sugar and other additives that would make me super hungover. That's why I wanted to create something I could enjoy and actually consume without feeling guilty or have harmful consequences! That's what Fresh Vine Wine is for me," she told Guest of a Guest.
