She's An Activist
Garner has never been afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She has spoken out about several causes on her Instagram account. She has supported the Black Lives Matter movement, the Stop Asian Hate movement, and encouraged her followers to vote.
She Spends Time Outside
Garner is a fan of going outside and getting fresh air. She has posted a lot of photos of nature on her Instagram account. She even posted this stunning set of photos of herself going for a hike in Costa Rica.
She Has A Strong Family Support
Garner told The Cut that her strength and success is inspired by the women in her family. Garner says that they inspire her to represent their qualities in her characters. "All the women in my life are very strong — my grandma, my mother, my sister. My grandparents are German Jews but they left Berlin because of the war — that's why I have a German passport. There are very strong women in my life. I think it's just important to represent that."
She's Taking Time For Herself
Garner told Vanity Fair that the pandemic and having to quarantine has helped her learn to take time for herself. "I've been working pretty full on since I was 16, so having this downtime is something I'm not used to," she says. "It's been a good reminder to slow down and enjoy the quiet things around me. I'm very lucky to have everything I need."
She Cooks A Lot
Garner also told Vanity Fair that the pandemic has required her to start cooking more often, especially since her favorite restaurants were closed. She says, "I LOVE TO COOK and have been cooking a lot! I've found something I love other than acting!" While Garner admits some of her favorite recipes aren't always the healthiest, she says that she only makes them on special occasions. She added: "I make a really good lasagna that my grandmother taught me how to make, but it's not the healthiest, so that's for a special occasion. I cooked mussels and shakshuka recently. My mother is Israeli, so I really love Middle Eastern foods and have been cooking a lot of that lately. I also made key lime pie! I don't really like to bake as much. I've loved Ina Garten since I was a little girl, so I get a lot of my recipes from her."
