She Prioritizes Self-Care
Paloma was recently asked by Popsugar about her favorite form of self-care? "Skin-care routine," she responded. "Gotta always be glowing!" She also revealed her favorite way to wind down at the end of the day. "Taking off my makeup and getting into a clean pair of sweats," she said.
She Loves Painting
Paloma is a big fan of artistic expression, but not just via singing! "Painting excites me, hence the title of the album," she told Cosmopolitan. "People like Dalí inspire me a lot."
She Is Authentic
Paloma has a message to her fans, which she expresses via her music. "This album has a clear message: to trust yourself and be true to what you think. It's for my fans to realize that they can be themselves, and not feel forced to conform to what the industry, media, etc. demands. I want to tell them to trust themselves, and not to let themselves be influenced by something external. On this album I've done the complete opposite of what the industry would expect of me on a commercial level. I have tried to be honest with myself and deliver a project with which I feel 100% fulfilled and identified," she told Cosmopolitan.
She Dances
Obviously, one way that Paloma stays in shape is by dancing. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.
She Spends Time in Nature
Paloma has a very busy lifestyle, but makes sure to get outside and spend time in nature. Many of her Instagram photos are taken outdoors and depict the singer enjoying mother nature. "Yes, sun exposure — especially sunburns — can increase the risk of skin cancer. But it turns out that our bodies need sun. We need sun exposure to make vitamin D, a vitamin that plays a crucial role in many body processes, from bone development to our immune system. Sun exposure also plays a role our immune system in other ways, as well as in healthy sleep — and in our mood. Our bodies work best when they get some sunshine every day," says Harvard Health.
