She Does Weight and Strength Training Workouts

Paola regularly exercises. Her main workout? Strength and weight training. She lifts weights, does bodyweight moves, and lots of ab work to keep her muscles toned. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

She Exercises for Mental Health

Paola maintains that she exercises as much for her mind as her body. "The good thing is that I love training and here I am again taking up the trial. I train not only for the physical, it's more for health, because it de-stresses me, activates me and makes me feel alive! It's never too late to start!" she captioned a post of her workout.

She Boxes

Paola also enjoys boxing for fitness. "She is pure fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥 she leaves me dead but happy," she captioned a post of her boxing workout. "This kind of boxing has many health benefits, because it constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs."

She Does Cardio

Paola also balances her other training out with cardio. If she is in the gym, she might use the elliptical machine. She also loves running outdoors. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.

She Drinks Coffee

Paola loves sipping on a cup of coffee. "A little coffee in the capital," she captioned a post. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation."It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times and mental function," they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
