At 56, Paulina Porizkova looks half her age. The supermodel, who regularly shares photos of her forever young body on social media, clearly knows something about anti-aging for the body and mind. And, on Wednesday, she revealed one of her main health hacks responsible for her fit physique—a popular fasting method paired with a strategic eating plan. Read on to learn Paulina Porizkova’s 5 main eating strategies and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. She Does Intermittent Fasting

During the video, Paulina revealed that she follows a form of intermittent fasting. "I do the 16:8 diet, which just means basically that you don't eat for 16 hours and then you eat for eight," she explained. "I generally take it as I eat whatever I want for eight hours because I like food, but I also kind of tend to like more healthy food."

2. She Indulges in Cravings

While she eats healthy most of the time, if she craves comfort food she indulges in it. "If I need a fried chicken, then I need a fried chicken," she said. "It's just the way it is."

3. She Doesn’t Obsess Over Food

The fasting method is "actually really easy," Paulina said. "I did get hungry at first when I first started doing this diet. I'd kind of obsess about food, but then it sort of evens out. Now, I don't even think about it. In fact, I'm not at all hungry until 16 hours later when I do get hungry."

4. She Orders Food From Splendid Spoon

While she doesn’t follow a vegan diet, Paulina is a big fan of Splendid Spoon, a plant-based meal delivery service. 'Now, this is going to sound like an [advertisement] for this company, which it's not because I'm not getting paid and they don't even know I exist,' she said, adding that she pays for the food herself. Her favorite offering from the company is a blackberry basil smoothie made with bananas, blackberries, pea protein, basil, lemon juice, dates, and chia seeds. If she is “really hungry,” has “been working out, or needs something to hold her over for a late dinner, she will nosh on soup or a noodle bowl from the company. “They have a whole bunch of stuff. It's all vegan. It's really good for you. It's very healthy,” she explained.

5. She Eats What She Wants for Dinner

After eating incredibly healthy during the day, Paulina indulges at dinner. “I do this, so then I could go out to dinner and have whatever I like for dinner — and that includes a glass of wine or a cocktail and dessert,” she explained. “This way I don't feel deprived. It works for me now.

It's obviously individual for everybody, but you asked what I did, and so this is what I do.”

In the photo showing off her fabulous physique, Paulina shared a message in anticipation of commeters telling her she is too thin. “For those of you who are tempted to tell me to eat a burger, I’m tempted to tell you NOT to eat one. But won’t. Body shaming is so last decade. Let’s celebrate who we are, wrinkles and imperfections and all,” she wrote in the caption. Continue reading for a few of Paulina’s healthy living hacks.

2. Her Diet Is Clean

In a recent Instagram post, Porizkova explained that her diet is extremely healthy. “I live reasonably clean- don’t much enjoy processed foods, but love a variety and do love my cakes,” she said.

3. She Started Exercising at 40

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Kicks Off 2019 Issue Launch Weekend At Irma's At The W South BeachJohn Parra/Getty Images

Paulina revealed to Elle that she started working out post-catwalk career. “I started exercising when I was 40. I never did anything before that. Just cigarettes and poor nutrition. I could eat whatever I wanted because I smoked. Cindy [Crawford] would be there sweating and working out, and she had a fabulous body that she worked for and I was just like, 'Oh, that's stupid.' I had a good time being unhealthy for a while, but then you pay for it.” Now she maintains a moderate approach to exercise. “I work out - try for at least three ones a week- sometimes less, sometimes more. I now mostly do Pilates, with some dancing or biking thrown in for cardio. That’s it,” she said in the above Instagram post.

4. She Reaps Mental Health Benefits From Exercise

"Stillwater" New York PremiereMichael Loccisano/WireImage

Paulina maintains that exercise helps keep panic attacks at bay and in getting her off antidepressants. “I found out if I worked out every day my anxiety was kept a lot at bay. And I felt better. So how great is that?” she told Elle.

5. Her Favorite Type of Exercise Is Dance

2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Launch CelebrationGilbert Carrasquillo/FilmMagic

Paulina, who appeared on Dancing with the Stars, maintains that dancing helps her stay in shape. “I still dance. I've done boxing. I've done rowing. You name it, I've done it. Except for running. I don't like running. It doesn't feel good to me. It feels bad on my knees,” she told Elle. “I'd rather do Zumba. And Bollywood dancing is a great way to get the aerobic part done. I do some really hard rowing classes. It's become something that's like brushing my teeth. It's something I have to do,” she said.

6. She Also Does Pilates

In a recent Instagram post, Paulina revealed that Pilates is one of her go-to methods for staying svelte. She is a fan of the Nofar Method, a New York City based studio.

7. She Drinks Alcohol Sometimes

Porizkova enjoys spirits on occasion. “I drink wine and cocktails. I smoked until I was forty. ( Sorry to say. Of course I quit when pregnant and nursing- but my husband was an unapologetic smoker- and it was easier to do as he did instead of fighting about it),” she wrote on Instagram.

50 is the new 30 – in Hollywood at least. These celebrities have been in the public eye for decades, but somehow manage to majorly delay the aging process. From taking care of their skin and undergoing the latest treatments to remaining dedicated to healthy eating and exercise, we have compiled the longevity secrets of some of the most high-profile stars who look sensational in their 50s.

1. Bethenny Frankel: She Doesn’t Diet

2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Bethenny Frankel, 52, has one big dietary secret – she doesn’t diet. "I’m old enough to know that fat-free was a craze, low-carb, eat your weight in meat and cheese was a phase, keto is a fad, the Zone was a moment, and so on .... so yes, I eat carbs. I eat everything, but I don’t binge," the Real Housewives star dished to Good Housekeeping. "What I eat has no consistency. Today, it was an egg white vegetable omelet with a baked potato and a few french fries for lunch. Sometimes, it's arugula with tomato, avocado, and Parmesan. Pureed soups are a mainstay for me."

2. Jennifer Lopez: No Alcohol, Healthy Diet, and “Harder and Smarter” Workouts

The Mother New York Tastemaker EventKevin Mazur/Getty Images

"I'm in the best shape of my life," Jennifer Lopez, 53, told InStyle in 2021. The star attributes her ageless beauty to a healthy diet, lots of water, and zero alcohol. She has also been extremely devoted to exercise. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she revealed. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

3. Paulina Porizkova: Gracefully Aging with Daily Exercise

Supermodel Paulina Porizkova, 58, believes in aging gracefully. And while she didn’t start exercising until she was 40, she now works out almost daily. “I try to exercise at least 3-5 days a week. And you know what? I ... hate it,” she said in one of her workout videos. “I don’t like to sweat and huff and puff and hurt. If sitting on a couch, eating cake, drinking wine and reading did the same for me as exercise, there would be no contest. BUT. I have come to find out that ‘working out’ is that perfect little pill everyone is looking for. It makes you feel good, look good, good for your brain and body - a small miracle that has to be paid of by a little discomfort.” Her favorite workouts include dancing, rowing, and pilates.

4. Kelly Ripa: “I Work Out Seven Days a Week”

Kelly Ripa, 52, never skips a workout "I work out seven days a week," she told In the Know. "And I try to workout an hour and a half a day, no matter what — whether I'm working or not. If I'm working, maybe I'll start it a little bit later or a little bit earlier, depending on what day of the week it is. But I am very religious about my fitness." She also avoids alcohol and maintains a super clean alkaline diet.

5. Jennifer Aniston: She Switches Up Her Workouts

Los Angeles Premiere Of Netflix's "Murder Mystery 2" - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Jennifer Aniston, 54, recently revealed to Bustle that she toned down her super-aggressive “feel the burn” approach to exercise. “I work out about three to four times a week, which is basically all your body really needs. I’ll do Pvolve, and then to switch it up, sometimes I’ll do Pilates, or sometimes I’ll take a hike,” she said. She also focuses on recovery. I love an infrared sauna or an Epsom salt bath. Those are two really good for drawing that lactic acid out, and I’ll even use my hands or a little gua sha on my legs for the same purpose.”

6. Jennifer Garner: Daily Cardio Sessions

On Jennifer Garner’s 51st birthday earlier this year she appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and revealed her secret to longevity. “What I do in the morning is I work out,” Garner said. “You’ve gotta do hard cardio to get that—to get yourself—I’m sorry, you do,” she said. “We need it in our bodies, but we need it in our brains. Your brain needs it!” she exclaimed. “You find something that actually makes you feel joyful while you’re doing it or it won’t work.”

7. Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara, 50, regularly jokes that she isn’t a fan of exercise. However, as she has gotten older she has incorporated weights into her routine. “The one thing that I have done that really has made a difference in my body is lifting weights. Not crazy weights. But, you know, like five pounds, seven pounds, 10 pounds. Twelve pounds is the maximum I can do. It keeps your muscles tight, and your skin tighter to you,” she explained to Health. “I’ve done Pilates and spinning, and I’ve tried all sorts of things—and they’re great.”

This week, Martha Stewart made history as the oldest woman to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated. And model Paulina Porizkova is celebrating this with her recent Instagram post. At 81, she’s making history as the oldest woman to be a bathing suit pinup. Padma Lakshmi @padmalakshmi is another gorgeous, powerful, intelligent woman featured inside at 52. And of course I love it! We’re finally having a bit of spotlight on us seasoned women, showing us as vibrant and sexy!” How does she stay so fit? 1. She Works With A Trainer

Porizkova opened up about the changes she made to her fitness on Instagram. She says that she decided to work with a trainer after dealing with some injuries. "Staying in shape after menopause takes a lot of frickin' work. Especially when you have wonky hips. I've had to cut down on my Pilates since I came back for the jungle shooting #beyondtheedge because my hips won't cooperate. What I'm doing instead, for now, is some serious PT. I found an amazing personal trainer at my local Crunch, Shelly, who alternates hip PT with strength training."

2. She’s Comfortable With Herself

"Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields" New York PremiereJamie McCarthy/Getty Images

As you can see from her recent post, Porizkova is all about being comfortable with herself. She talked about this in the caption of the previous Instagram post, "I may not be as strong or as supple or as smooth as in my youth, but I am comfortable with my vulnerabilities, conscious of my weaknesses, proud of my strengths - and best of all, have the wisdom to put it all together and delight in the results. #betweenjloandbettywhite #workingout #unstoppable #strength #agingaintforsissies."

3. She Works Hard

Fifth Season And Vertical Host A Special Screening Of "Maybe I Do"Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images

Another of Porizkova’s fitness secrets? Hard work. She talked about this in the previous Instagram post’s caption, "So, yes, there are drawbacks to aging," Porizkova said. "One has to work a lot harder on things that were taken for granted. On the outside. On the inside, however, all the hard work already done is finally paying off."

4. She Intermittent Fasts

Porizkova opened up about her diet tips in the caption of this Instagram post. “Monday tip. 1: Intermittent fast,” she started. “This is how I eat. I have no breakfast except tea or coffee and try to go as long as I can without eating. Generally, I last until about two or three pm, sometimes even all day - if I don’t exercise! If I do, then I eat after my workout.”

5. She Avoids Certain Beverages

Porizkova makes sure that she eats a healthy diet, and that means avoiding certain things. In the previous Instagram post, Porizkova writes that she is particular about what beverages she drinks. “I also drink up to three cups of coffee and two or more cups of herbal teas. No soft drinks, ever. No juices. If your fruit and veggies do not contain fiber ( as in juices) it’s basically sugar water.”

Paulina Porizkova is one of the most successful and gorgeous supermodels of all time. She is unafraid of showing off her body on social media, and a recent Instagram post proves it. In the photo, Porizkova posed on the beach in a pink bikini. She captioned it, “When you ask your son to do a bikini photo of you- and he’s 6’5 and too lazy to get down to get a better angle.” Read on to see 5 ways Paulina Porizkova stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Intermittent Fasts

Porizkova spilled some of her diet secrets in this Instagram post. She says that she does a twist on intermittent fasting. “I do the 16/8 diet,” she says. “Which just means that you don’t eat for 16 hours and then you eat for eight.” "Between meals, as long as we don’t snack, our insulin levels will go down and our fat cells can then release their stored sugar, to be used as energy. We lose weight if we let our insulin levels go down. The entire idea of IF is to allow the insulin levels to go down far enough and for long enough that we burn off our fat," says Harvard Health.

2. She Isn’t Afraid To Indulge

In the same Instagram post, Porizkova revealed some of her favorite foods. She says in the eight hours she does eat, she isn’t afraid of indulging once in a while. “I generally take it as I eat whatever I want for eight hours because I like food. I tend to like healthier foods, but if I eat a fried chicken, I eat a fried chicken—it’s just the way it is.”

3. She Likes Vegan Food

Porizkova might not be a vegan, but she likes to eat vegan food on occasion. In her Instagram post, she says that she’s a fan of the company Splendid Spoon, particularly their smoothies. “They have all different flavors,” she says. “They also have these soups or noodles or rice, too—they have a whole bunch of stuff. It’s all vegan, it’s really good for you. It’s very healthy and I do this so I can go out to dinner and have whatever I want.”

4. She Doesn’t Get Work Done

"Stillwater" New York PremiereMichael Loccisano/WireImage

Porizkova talked about her approach to aging in this Us Weekly interview. She says that she doesn’t like to have procedures done to her face. “I don’t like fillers or Botox because for me, I like the fact that my face is really expressive. People know how I feel and I don’t really have to talk.”

5. She Embraces Aging

2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Launch CelebrationGilbert Carrasquillo/FilmMagic

Porizkova is not afraid of aging. She says in this Instagram post, “I don’t actually mind aging, I just want to age well. It’s preferable to being dead, right?” "Healthy aging is a hot topic. Whether you're concerned about weight gain, sex drive or chronic diseases, the key to healthy aging is a healthy lifestyle. Eating a variety of nutritious foods, practicing portion control and including physical activity in your daily routine can go a long way toward promoting healthy aging," says the Mayo Clinic.

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Images of a woman saying no to plastic surgery.

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”
