She Drinks Smoothies and Eats Protein Bowls
Pearl is all about getting enough protein. "I love making smoothies and protein bowls with PRO-TF® Protein. If I crave something sweet, I blend PRO-TF Chocolate with cherries, bananas, cacao nibs, and chia seeds. I put it in a glass with unsweetened coconut flakes, candied pecans, goji berries, and cinnamon on top with a fancy straw. For protein bowls, I blend PRO-TF with frozen fruit and almond milk so it's thick and creamy. I top it with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, granola, coconut flakes, honey, and cinnamon," she told 4Life.
She Eats Pizza Once a Month
Pearl has a guilty please. "I love pizza!" she told 4Life. "I allow myself to have it once a month. I make it myself so I can add all of my favorite ingredients, and I know exactly what's going into my body."
She Cheats Once a Week
According to Pearl, staying in shape is all about "clean eating and exercise," she tells 4Life. "Stick to your goals 100% four days per week, and allow leniency for the other three. After a few weeks, add another day. I give myself one cheat meal per week so I can stay focused the rest of the week."
She Hydrates
Even if you fall off your diet and exercise regimen, Pear maintains that hydration and taking supplements will help maintain progress."Drink at least half of your body weight in oz of water each day. If you're more active, drink a gallon daily. Water helps keep your digestive tract moving, which is key for maintaining good health," she told 4Life.
Focus on Changing Your Lifestyle
Don't even think about going on a diet. Pearl maintains that "becoming healthy is a lifestyle, and transformation doesn't happen overnight." "Eating breakfast can help you lose weight and keep you from overeating later in the day. You don't need to eat a lot — just something to get you off to a good start. Try whole-grain cereal — hot or cold — or toast, low-fat or skim milk, or an egg. Other good options include fat-free or low-fat yogurt, nuts, seeds, or nut butters. If you're not in the habit of eating breakfast, start by grabbing a piece of fruit and gradually add other foods," says the Mayo Clinic.
