Singer Pia Mia, known for "Do It Again" and "Touch," says she gets antsy when she has too much time on her hands but she knows when to relax, too. Mia posted a selfie from the beach, looking happy and serene in a pink and purple bathing suit. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Mia stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves Seafood

Mia is obsessed with seafood, including octopus, lobster, sushi, and sashimi. “Sushi can be a very healthy, green type of food — if ordered simply,” says Maxine Smith, RD, LD. “If you have a craving for sushi, or if you enjoy that social aspect of eating sushi with other people, go for it. It can be a fun experience. You just want to be selective and do your research ahead of time, so that you can nourish your body well and make the best decisions,” she adds. “With a little foresight, you can make healthy choices.”

2. Avocado Toast

Mia enjoys avocado toast for a healthy, delicious meal. "Avocado toast is one of the healthier brunch options at many restaurants, but you do have to be careful," says Kylie Arrindell, wellness dietitian at Houston Methodist. "From how much avocado is used to what's piled on top, avocado toast can go from a healthy to a not-so-healthy choice pretty quickly. Avocado contains a lot of heart-healthy unsaturated fats, as well as a good amount of fiber. Plus, if you're eating at a restaurant, you have a lot of control of what goes on top of your avocado toast. You can say 'no cheese' or 'no bacon,' which you can't always do as easily in other unhealthier breakfast dishes."

3. She Stays In the Moment

Mia considers herself a work in progress, and doesn’t stress about the next step. “Understand that, whatever career path you’re taking, it’s never going to be just a straight, ‘Okay, this is what I want to do and now I’m having major success and I’m the best at what I’m doing and I’m reaching all these goals that I’ve set for myself.’ It’s always a work in progress, there’s always work to do. There’s always going to be ups-and-downs. You just have to remember if this is your dream and this is your passion, try to be present in the moment and enjoy the journey and appreciate the people that are around you and supporting you,” she says.

4. Balanced Diet

Mia relies on cues from her body as to her diet—she eats whatever she wants and refuses to eliminate any food groups. “When you no longer have so much stress and anxiety surrounding food, you free up space to just be and enjoy the food – and the people – around you,” says Alissa Rumsey, MS, RD, CDN, CSCS. “You can engage in social interactions more often and can put your attention on spending time with friends and family, rather than worrying about your diet.”

5. She Uses Purple Shampoo

Pia MiaPia Mia/Instagram

Mia uses purple shampoo to maintain her hair whenever she goes blonde. "I normally just wash it with purple shampoo once a week and that keeps the tone cute,” she says. “I try to keep heat off of it as much as I can. I use It's a 10 Miracle Daily Conditioner, and I always comb out my hair before I take a shower so I don't have to brush it when it's wet because then it just becomes a mess."

1. She Works Hard

Mia opened up about misconceptions people have about her career in an interview on the Qubi series, Close Up by E! News. Mia says that she is a very hard worker, and that is the reason for her success. “A lot of people think that I come from the music industry. I don't. I come from a normal family. I come from a very small island. I just think that my career, my situation, my life just proves that it doesn't matter where you're from. It doesn't matter what connections you have...if you have the passion, you have the drive and you really believe that this is what you're meant to do, and you work for it, then it can become a reality."

2. She Stays Busy

Mia has a busy life, and she likes it that way. During the pandemic, Mia tells Atwood Magazinethat she made sure to do a lot of at-home things. “I’ve been trying to keep myself busy. I just know, in regular life, when I don’t have anything to do, it makes me really anxious. I always like to try to keep myself working or growing, whether that’s like for my career or just mentally, and as a person. I like to always have something to do. But of course, I have moments too where I just want to chill out and look on my phone or, you know, not do something that’s so productive.”

3. She Doesn’t Get Consumed With Social Media

Person,Using,A,Social,Media,Marketing,Concept,On,Mobile,PhoneShutterstock

Mia doesn’t let social media overwhelm her. She encouraged others to do the same to Extra. “For social media, I would just say don't get consumed with it. And I know that's really hard for everyone to do. Not just younger fans. Try to like step outside, go into the real world, get perspective, because I know being on social media can be like, you're comparing yourself to everything you see, and wondering why you're not good enough, and that can just really take a toll on you and your dreams too. So just try to keep perspective, stay close to your family and just work on yourself, you know? I don't know, it's rough out here.

4. She’s Grateful

Mia talked about her career in an interview with The Glass Magazine. She says that she is extremely grateful for everything that has happened. “I’m just so grateful to have had just all the experiences I’ve had. I come from such a small island and I was just a little girl that loved music. I’ve accomplished more than I could have ever dreamed of.”

5. She’s Levelheaded

Pia-MiaPia Mia/Instagram

Mia plays Tristan in the films After and After We Collided. She opened up about how she relates to the character to Extra. “I feel like Tristan and I are like the same person. In my friend group, I'm very like levelheaded. But at the same time, like I like to party, I like to go out, I like to be sexy and cool. But I feel like my friends do look to me for guidance and like advice, and I think Tristan plays that same role in her friend group.”

1. She Refuses to Starve Herself

PiaMia 1Pia Mia/Instagram

Pia has a healthy approach to eating and refuses to starve herself. “'I don't diet. I do what I want and I do what makes me happy. I exercise, but if I want to buy an entire bag of Cheetos, I'm going to, and if I want a green juice, I'll do that too,” she told Daily Mail Australia. “I don't like restrictions, it's not the way to live.”

2. She Works Out

As for exercise, Pia prefers strength training workouts, which she regularly shares on social media. Some of her go-to exercises include squats, leg lifts, battle ropes, and box jumps. While there are many forms of exercise that are beneficial, the most important thing is to just do something. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

3. She Prioritizes Self-Care

Pia prioritize self-care. “'(Writing in my journal) makes me (feel) more secure in a way,” she told Daily Mail Australia. “Things that make me feel good (apart from makeup) are just relaxing, taking a bath, writing in my journal and just getting my thoughts out. It helps me to just kind of settle down and see what my goals are and what I'm going through, and that makes me (feel) more secure in a way.” As for social media, ''I'm on there just to share life and be positive and happy. I don't let (negative) things affect me. I do what I want and I do what makes me happy.” She also loves to read. “You were born with the right to be happy. you were born with the right to love, to enjoy and to share your love. you are alive, so take your life and enjoy it,” she captioned a recent photo of herself reading a book on the beach.

4. She Enjoys Outdoor Activities

Pia also loves a few other sweat-inducing activities. A few of her favorite activities to blast calories al fresco? Paddleboarding in her swimsuit and riding horses. “Never thought I’d fall in love with riding horses,” she captioned one Instagram post.

5. She Fights

Pia is also into boxing, throwing punches at the Ten Goose Boxing Gym in Van Nuys, California. “Therapy,” she captioned this video. Why is fitness boxing great for you? "This kind of boxing has many health benefits, because it constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs.”

1. She Eats What She Wants

You won’t find Pia starving herself. “'I don't diet. I do what I want and I do what makes me happy. I exercise, but if I want to buy an entire bag of Cheetos, I'm going to, and if I want a green juice, I'll do that too,” she told Daily Mail Australia. “I don't like restrictions, it's not the way to live.” "There’s no one right answer, says registered dietitian Andrea Dunn, RD," to the Cleveland Clinic. “The best diet is the one you’re going to follow,” she says. “And I don’t say that tongue in cheek! There’s no one diet that will fit everybody’s needs, personalities, lifestyles or food preferences.” "Dunn often recommends a diet she calls a moderate protein plan — but it could also be described as a moderate carbohydrate plan. This plan still emphasizes whole grains and produce and limits processed foods and added sugar. But it allows for more animal proteins for those carnivores-at-heart."

2. She Works Out

As Pia mentioned, exercise is a huge part of her stay-fit methodology. She does strength training workouts, which she has shared on social media. Some of her go-to exercises include squats, leg lifts, battle ropes, and box jumps.

3. She Journals

Journaling is Pia’s go-to self-care ritual. I do what I want and I do what makes me happy.”

4. She Is Active Outdoors

When she isn’t working, Pia likes being outdoors. A few of her favorite activities to blast calories al fresco? Paddleboarding in her swimsuit and riding horses. “Never thought I’d fall in love with riding horses,” she captioned one Instagram post.

5. She Boxes

Pia fights her way to a hot body with the help of boxing. She boxes at the Ten Goose Boxing Gym in Van Nuys, California. “Therapy,” she captioned this video. "Unlike traditional boxing that requires you to spar with a partner, fitness boxing for older adults involves throwing punches at the air or at a punching bag, usually in a class. There are two main types of these exercise classes. In one, you follow a leader and do a series of boxing moves all choreographed to bouncy music, similar to an aerobics class. The moves include a combination of large, sweeping punches (crosses, hooks, uppercuts); smaller punches (jabs); squats (ducks); and short, quick steps forward and back. The other type of exercise class involves strength training, stretching, and hitting a punching bag. Don't have the strength to stand and do boxing moves? Both types of classes are available for people who wish to remain seated while punching at the air or at a punching bag," says Harvard Health.

Over the past few years, Sydney Sweeney has become one of America’s sweethearts with celebrated roles in everything from hit HBO shows Euphoria and White Lotus to big-screen movies Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Anyone But You. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
