Poonam stays in shape with the help of yoga.The American Osteopathic Association explains that more than 100 different types, or schools, of yoga exist, with most consisting of breathing exercises, meditation, and assuming postures (sometimes called asana or poses) that stretch and flex various muscle groups."The relaxation techniques incorporated in yoga can lessen chronic pain, such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome," Natalie Nevins, DO, a board-certified osteopathic family physician and certified Kundalini Yoga instructor in Hollywood, California, explained to them.

She Walks Her Dog

Poonam maintains an active lifestyle. One way she burns calories and improves her mental health is by walking her dog. "Day out with my boy Caesar," she captioned a recent post.

She Dances

Poonam also dances, which is not only fun, but offers major health benefits, building strength and promoting flexibility, while also aiding weight loss and promoting cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

Despite her incredibly busy schedule, Poonam takes time for self-care. What does "me time" look like for her? She might indulge in a mani pedi, drink a glass of wine, or do a face mask at home. "Pampering myself," she captioned a photo from a recent spa session.

She Isn't Afraid to Gain Weight

Easy come, easy go. When Poonam was asked to gain weight for a role, she went for it. "I was skeptical before going ahead with it but when I read the script, I thought I would not justify the role unless I don't gain some weight to fit the bill," she told IANS.
