1. She Hikes

Chopra calls hiking “mother nature's medicine.” “It’s been proven that regular walkers have fewer heart attacks and strokes, lower blood pressure and higher levels of HDL (healthy cholesterol) than non-exercisers. Walking can lower blood pressure and LDL (your bad cholesterol), decrease the risk of many cancers and improve immune system function. Plus, it improves the quality of your sleep and keeps you energized when you’re awake,” says the Cleveland Clinic.

2. She is Not Trying to “Shrink” Herself

When it comes to fitness goals, Chopra says: “The idea is to keep fit and healthy and not shrink myself by two or three sizes,” she told Vogue India. “I find that trend amongst celebrities disturbing, since a lot of kids and teenagers strive to attain our kind of figures, but without proper guidance.”

3. She Does Yoga and Resistance Training

“Earlier this year, researchers published a review of yoga’s potential benefits in people with coronary artery disease in Complementary Therapies in Medicine. From more than 300 potentially relevant studies, they identified seven clinical trials that compared yoga — done anywhere from one to 14 times a week for at least a half-hour per session — to usual care or exercise. Yoga was linked to improvements in blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels, body mass index, and quality of life,” says Harvard Health.

4. This is Her Makeup Trick

“So I keep it simple when it comes to my everyday makeup,” she told Vogue Australia. “It doesn't take me long at all. I get dressed in five to 10 minutes, max, when it comes to my makeup and hair.” She uses “a great lip tint or lip stain, which feels natural. But at the same time, gives you a little bit of a” pop. “I don't like usually having too much on my face, foundation and stuff, but just something to sort of keep it even, a little bit of blush mascara and I'm out of the door.” “If your foundation starts to separate into layers, or your mascara wand gets dry, consider tossing these products. Don’t add water to your mascara to increase the moisture, since this can escalate bacteria production,” says the Mayo Clinic.

5. This is the Secret to Her Great Hair

“So secret to my hair. I have a really important relationship with my hair,” she told Vogue Australia. “If I have a good hair day, I feel like I'm having a good day. So I try and get scalp massages, or at least do a scalp massage every week. I really need a great hydrating hair mask at least once a week. But besides that, just keep it simple. I find a great shampoo and conditioner. Mine is Anomaly, which is my new hair care line, which launched in America. But just what works for your head. It's so important.”
