Singh sticks to homemade healthy cooking whenever she can. "I think the only way to maintain fitness is to be consistent and to have it as a way of life, for me fitness is a way of life," she says. "And I like it, I do it because I like it, I don't like any other way. And I don't follow a diet, I like to eat everything but eat everything homemade, if [I] can."

Genuine Love For Fitness

Singh loves being active, and continued working out throughout the pandemic lockdowns. "Fitness for me is a way of life," she says. "Even in the past 30 days that I have been in Delhi, I have been working out every morning. I guess I get it from my dad because he is from the army and I've never seen him miss his workout. In fact, during the lockdown, I have extended that time I used to dedicate to yoga since the gyms are closed. In the last few days, I have been playing badminton at home and some weight training that can be done at home. I mix and match but I do at least two forms of workout in a day."

She's a Yogi

Singh has practiced yoga for years and loves it. "Yoga is about pushing your body to be extremely flexible. But for me, the biggest change was that yoga became my sanity… when the world is so cluttered and when you are actually in that rut of working non-stop with so much noise around you," she says. "That one-hour morning session where your only sound is of your own breath, and when you finish your yogic practice with a breathing practice – whether it is Pranayam or Kapalbhati- that, for me, was amazing!"

Vegan Diet

Singh enjoys a plant-based diet. "I was a non-vegetarian all my life and there was always this feeling within me that I do not want to eat meat for a while, I wanted to turn vegetarian and cleanse my system," she says. "After 10 days, I really started liking it and realized that I could eat a lot more. I was going back to the basics — daal, roti and rice. It did wonders for my body and I started feeling a lot better. I might have a change of heart later, you never know, but for now, I am enjoying being a vegan."

Healthy Inside and Out

Singh believes in holistic health. "You are what you eat. No kind of products, no kind of facials," she says. "Everything that's being marketed, nothing is going to reflect better than your thoughts, your mental state, because if you're a happy person that's going to reflect in your skin. Besides your food and workout,  remove your makeup and cleanse and moisturize and tone."
