Although I would not eat meat at every meal, I felt nicer when I consumed vegan and vegetarian food,” she told Health Shots. “After trying this for a month, I decided maybe I want to continue this. I saw a difference in my skin and I felt much lighter. What was very exciting for me was I could eat dal chawal and sabzi, and not put on weight. On the contrary, I was shedding weight initially, and I felt much lighter, even though I was eating a large quantity of carbs.”

It’s a calling and when you start seeing a difference in yourself is when you will want to do it.”

Rakul is a big fan of burning calories al fresco. “I love outdoor activities, be it trekking or cycling. I am an outdoor person; you can’t lock me in a room and say, ‘Let’s play some board games’. 7. She Does Lots of Workouts

“It’s sad that people don’t understand the importance of fitness and limit it to certain professions. They assume that it’s only for people who want to be thin. Unfortunately, being lean and having six-pack abs define fitness today. But, that doesn’t mean that one is healthy,” she told Times of India about her approach to fitness. “What’s important to me is my energy levels and how much strength I have. Strong is the new sexy. Everyone should be able to lift their own body weight, and every girl should be able to do at least a normal push-up. Good endurance is important, too.”
