She Doesn't Care About Criticism

Gautam has no time for criticism. When someone on Twitter commented on her body, she immediately hit back. Gautam wrote, "Well I'm not almost turning 30, that ship sailed quite some time back. And coming to the weight gain it happens sometimes and since we do tv it gets noticed very visibly unlike in films where u get your gaps and time to focus exclusively on yourself."

She's Comfortable With Herself

In the same post, Gautam revealed that she's comfortable with herself. "And also, what's the big deal, it's after all weight you lose some you gain some. As actresses, yes there are certain expectations from us. But I refuse to go under the knife, or endorse fad diets. Under any circumstance. Each one has a body type there is no set mold to fit in."

She Embraces Aging

One thing Gautam does to feel comfortable with herself is embrace aging. "For some weird reason our society does not accept aging, which is a natural thing," she says. "You cannot look like a teenager all your life and one should not push their lifestyle to an extent when u only live off soups and salads. Things like these build unwanted pressure on a lot of us and I personally know many who have had to take extreme measures and are battling depression so please be mindful. And I wud rather exit gracefully than go thru unwanted pressure and not have a life."

She Swims

Gautam spends a lot of time in the water. She posted this video of herself in a pool on Instagram. Gautam captioned it, "Once a water baby, always a water baby." Swimming.org reports that, "Swimming uses all the muscles in the body so whether you swim a gentle breaststroke or hammer butterfly, you will get a full body workout. Plus, exercising in water makes your body work harder so 30 minutes in a pool is worth 45 minutes of the same activity on land."

She's An Activist

Gautam is a supporter of animal rights. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram highlighting the cause. Gautam posted this photo for Animal Welfare Day. She also shared this post calling for less explosives during Eid celebrations. She captioned it, "The goal here is to save animals and make sure no animals are harmed. Asking to avoid loud noise explosives has become such a big issue."
