She Is Accountable

Rebel made herself accountable when she declared 2020 her Year of Health. "For the last few years, I've been theme-ing my years. So I had the 'Year of Fun,' last year I had the 'Year of Love,' and this year it's gonna be the 'Year of Health' because I turned 40 this year in March," she explained on The Drew Barrymore Show. "I never really focused on my health, which was probably obvious. I was going all around the world jet-setting everywhere and eating a ton of sugar. That was kind of my vice. I have a very sweet tooth. I love desserts."

She Flaunts Her Achievements

Rebel makes sure to celebrate her achievements, sharing her progress with fans on social media. In fact, she confessed to People that she flaunts it "on Instagram shamelessly." Not only does this keep her accountable, but allows her to celebrate her wins and motivates her to keep on going.

Her Approach to Weight Loss Is Both Physical and Mental

Rebel understands that losing weight is so much more than physical. "I think because I approached it from all areas … the biggest thing that I haven't ever worked on was the emotional side, what I suffered from, I guess, as classical emotional eating … so I really worked on that side," she explained to Extra about how she approached her weight loss.

She Works Out Early

Rebel prioritizes exercise. "This week was super busy but I got up super early 3 times (6am 😜) and went on a hike…even did a couple of 100m sprints to get the heart rate even higher (although my 'sprint' is probably someone else's 'slow jog' 😝) but I felt proud of myself and now only 3kg's away from my goal weight!" she wrote in an Instagram post.

She Takes Pride in Her Achievements

Rebel continues to pat herself on the back for reaching her weight loss goals. In a recent social media post she shared a photo of herself at her "unhealthiest." "I look back now at that girl and am so proud of what she's become and achieved," she wrote. "And just wanted to send out some encouragement to everyone out there struggling with weight or body issues or emotional eating. I feel you. I know what it's like. But it's never too late to start improving yourself and trying to be the best version of YOU possible. It's not a race and it's not a competition – it's about respecting yourself and doing what's best for YOU. So if you're out there and reading this today, I just wanted to say: keep smiling and keep trying to be active! Love you guys."
