1. ”It’s Never Too Late to Improve Yourself”
“It’s never too late to improve yourself - to improve your health, your heart, your happiness, your harmony. For everyone out there just trying to be a lil bit better this week: go for it! Every bit counts. Every effort is worth it. You’re worth it,” Rebel wrote alongside her photo.
1. Focus on Your Health, Not Numbers

Rebel’s motivation was more about her overall health and less about the numbers on the scale. “To me what the year of health was, was just being a healthier version,” she told Jamila Rizvi on The Weekend Briefing per Yahoo Australia. “It wasn't about losing a set amount of weight, although I did put a goal originally of 75 kilos so I could have something tangible to work towards. But it's not about a number or a dress size, or anything like that.'It was just about being the healthiest version of me and I dedicated all of 2020 to doing that, and I'm proud of myself.”
3. Love Yourself No Matter Your Size

Rebel told The Weekend Briefing that weight loss shouldn’t impact self-love. “I think people are beautiful in all different sizes, and I would feel just as confident rocking my size 16 dress as I do now. I’m about a size 8 now,” she said. “I loved being bigger and it never stopped me from achieving anything in my life.”
4. Stay Hydrated

Hydration is a big part of Rebel’s health strategy. "Adequate sleep, walking, hydrating, [and] drinking water," she said when asked about her secrets to health in a Q&A. "You'll always see me with a FIJI [water] in my hand, and balance it with the nutrition.”
5. Work From the Inside Out
Rebel believes that physical health is very dependent on mental. “I think because I approached it from all areas ... the biggest thing that I haven't ever worked on was the emotional side, what I suffered from, I guess, as classical emotional eating … so I really worked on that side," she told Extra about her weight loss.
6. Exercise Is Key
Rebel urges the importance of exercise, even when life is hectic. "This week was super busy but I got up super early 3 times (6am 😜) and went on a hike...even did a couple of 100m sprints to get the heart rate even higher (although my 'sprint' is probably someone else's 'slow jog' 😝) but I felt proud of myself and now only 3kg's away from my goal weight!" she wrote on Instagram.
7. Be Accountable
Rebel is all about sharing her health journey with fans—even though it may “annoy some people”—especially on social media. “I feel really good within myself and I like to celebrate the journey. And also, why I did it publicly was for accountability as well, because it’s all good and well just having a little experiment and if you don’t tell people about it you could just easily fail, whereas if I tell the whole world on social media, then that's pretty good motivation.”
