I also do high intensity interval training, kick-boxing and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)—this I decide after I wake up in the morning. My routine depends on what I feel my body needs for the day. Weekends I usually reserve for my swim and dance classes. Basically, I do anything that makes me sweat. I follow a simple mantra: train like a beast, look like a beauty."

Wellness and Fitness

Chakraborty says she feels and looks better when she uses a holistic approach to wellness. "Wellness and good skin go hand in hand," she says. "So working out is the best drug for your skin. Because it opens up your pores and you just glow. And even a good headstand or a nice yoga session because of blood flow going all the way to your face. Wellness is definitely a very important from a fitness point of view for your skin and other than that what really important is what you eat. Because what you eat reflects on your skin. So more home cooked food and vegetables you eat. And I know everyone keeps saying it but it's true. It will help your skin."

Healthy Home Cooking

Chakraborty enjoys healthy home cooked meals, especially those heavy in vegetables. "I start my day with warm water and lime," she says. "I usually eat anything that's home-cooked and fresh. I'm not a fan of processed foods. Breakfast is usually omelet, fruits and dry fruits. Lunch is fish, brown rice, sweet potatoes and veggies. Through the day I keep drinking water with lime, and coconut water. Dinner is rotis and fish with veggies. I eat burgers and pizzas and pastas a lot, but only if it is freshly prepared and not processed meat."

4

DIY Skincare

Chakraborty is a devotee of coconut oil for her skin health. "I definitely do wash my face at night and I use coconut oil on my face," she says. "I also do a lot of DIY beauty hacks at home. Mixing curd and honey for your skin is something that I absolutely love."

5

Meditation Every Day

Chakraborty supports her mental health with daily meditation. "I listen to music all day. I also believe it gives my life a background score!" she says. "Yoga helps me regain center and balance. I try and meditate everyday for 20 minutes first thing in the morning. Also, when the days are stressful, I surround myself with happy people. Smiling keeps the stress away."
