She Tires to Eat Healthy Snacks

"Trying to make my snacks healthier and yummier!" Rhea once said of an Açaí bowl she had. "Açaí berries are widely touted as a so-called superfood, with proponents claiming that they are helpful for a variety of health concerns, including arthritis, weight loss, high cholesterol, erectile dysfunction, skin appearance, detoxification and general health. However, research on açaí berries is limited, and the claims about their health benefits haven't been proved," says the Mayo Clinic.

She Tried Keto

"The keto diet is essentially a high-fat diet — your meals are 70 or 80% fat; about 20% protein; and about 5% carbohydrate. It is not an Atkins high-protein diet," says the Cleveland Clinic. "The keto diet switches you from burning glucose (which carbs provide) to burning ketones (which fat produces) for energy. When you do this, interesting things happen:

  • Your metabolism speeds up.
  • Your hunger goes away.
  • Your muscle mass increases.
  • Your blood pressure and heart disease risk profile improve."

She Loves to Swim

"Swimming uses all the muscles in the body so whether you swim a gentle breaststroke or hammer butterfly, you will get a full body workout. Plus, exercising in water makes your body work harder so 30 minutes in a pool is worth 45 minutes of the same activity on land," says Swimming.org. "Just 30 minutes of swimming three times a week alongside a balanced, healthy diet and lifestyle is one of the best ways to stay fit and healthy and maintain a positive mental outlook. Do it with friends, and it's even more fun!"

She's Into Dogs

"It probably doesn't come as a surprise that owning a dog requires a little bit of energy. Dogs have to be walked and exercised, which means dog owners are out there getting more physical activity than people without dogs. Older people are more likely to take regular walks with a dog than they are with a human, according to one study. Another found that 60% of dog owners who took their dogs for regular walks were considered to get regular moderate or vigorous exercise based on federal standards," says the Animal Health Foundation.

She Takes Pride in Her Table

Rhea once wrote: "A recipe has no soul. You, as the cook, must bring soul to the recipe." Thomas Keller. "This table has housed my favourite people, favourite memories and favourite food. My favourite sundays revolve around @karanboolani making a cocktail, me making dinner, the dogs are running around and family and friends are pouring in. It sounds like overplayed playlists, laughter, kitchen sounds, paws on wood and loud happy voices trying to get a word in. The world outside goes quiet, and everything seems right and worth it."
