“I won’t lie: I’m a fan of the snooze button, so I like to do a little extra sleeping whenever I can. After I wake up, I do some light stretching just to get myself going and then I like to do affirmations. I think it’s really important to start the day off with positive energy. I usually do all that before my morning skincare, and then it’s off to breakfast!,” she told W.
2. She Avoids Her Phone in the Morning

“I would say the most important part of my wellness routine is not going straight to my phone in the morning. I like to take my time and really get myself centered before I go into work mode. After breakfast, I shower and then head to the gym for cardio and weights,” she told W.
3. She Does Yoga

“Yoga offers physical benefits like increased flexibility, strength and blood flow. But practicing yoga has an abundance of psychological benefits, too. It boosts your mood, helps you manage stress and can help you get a better night’s sleep.,” says the Cleveland Clinic. “There are many options when it comes to finding yoga poses to wake up both your body and your mind,” yoga therapist Judi Bar, E-500 RYT, told the Clinic. “And for many of them, you can do them right where you are.”
4. She Used to Cut Meals in Half

"I watch what I eat but I just cut my portions in half," says Rita. "So if I want a burger I'll just cut it in half and eat half of it. That or I'll take the bread off and only eat the burger. Or if I want fries then I won't have a burger to go with them,” she once said, according to Cosmo.
5. She Does Pilates
“Some of the principles that guide the Pilates method include concentration on each movement, use of the abdomen and low back muscles, flowing movement patterns that are precise and a steady and controlled breathing. Depending on the exercise, Pilates routines can be performed on specially-designed apparatuses, including a bed-like structure called a reformer, or on a mat or blanket,” says the Cleveland Clinic.

“For most healthy adults, the Department of Health and Human Services recommends:
- Aerobic activity. Get at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or a combination of moderate and vigorous activity. The guidelines suggest that you spread out this exercise during the course of a week. Greater amounts of exercise will provide even greater health benefits. But even small amounts of physical activity are helpful. Being active for short periods of time throughout the day can add up to provide health benefits.
- Strength training. Do strength training exercises for all major muscle groups at least two times a week. Aim to do a single set of each exercise, using a weight or resistance level heavy enough to tire your muscles after about 12 to 15 repetitions,” says the Mayo Clinic.
7. This is Her Skincare Routine
“I have combination skin, and unfortunately am prone to breaking out if I do a lot of appearances in a row or if I’m on tour. It’s super important for me to use products that are soothing. La Mer has an incredible skincare line that really helps keep my skin looking fresh. I’m also a big fan of using a light therapy face mask, which helps to kill bacteria and calms inflammation,” she told W.
