1. She Prioritizes Healthy Diet and Exercise

Rituparna regularly eats healthy and works out. “I always maintain a well balanced diet and exercise, no matter how tight my schedule is. This is my secret to being healthy. Happy #WorldHealthDay,” she wrote in a Facebook post. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans

2. She Cooks

Rituparna can “cook a five-course meal,” she revealed to Hindustan Times. She also enjoys salads and grilled chicken, “a home-made breakfast of brown bread and egg whites,” green tea over coffee, and golgappa. "In a large population-based cohort study, eating home cooked meals more frequently was associated with better dietary quality and lower adiposity. Further prospective research is required to identify whether consumption of home cooked meals has causal effects on diet and health," says one study.

3. She Does Yoga

Rituparna does “yoga at dawn,” she revealed to Hindustan Times. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

4. She Doesn’t Deprive Herself

"It is of no use if you avoid certain kind of food. Eat everything, don't deprive yourself of the pleasure of sampling all types of delicacies, But yes follow a diet regimen....i.e you have to eat proportionately. But eat everything," Rituparna told IBNS at the launch of Studio Strands. "What I mean is the intake of all ingredients in proper measure and of course keeping tab over it.”

5. She Believes Beauty Also Comes From Within

"Today the definition of beauty is a combination of external and internal. Beauty also manifests through attitude,” Rituparna told IBNS. "If one has the attitude that will elevate her profile and she will be more noticed.” "Beauty is the perception of something as pleasing, particularly to the eyes. Things, experiences, and places considered beautiful are often evolutionarily associated with enhanced survival. Different cultures and generations have unique concepts of beauty. A very long neck, scars on the belly, stretched lips, or blue tattoos on the lips—all are hallmarks of beauty in different parts of the world. Beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder," says the Mayo Clinic.
