Mindful About Meat

Strijd enjoys a healthy diet with minimal meat. "I love oatmeal in the morning; you can find the recipe on my YouTube channel," she says. "Lately, I've been trying to eat less meat, so for lunch I'll have a bowl of grains, salad, vegetables. For dinner I would love to go out with my boyfriend or friends, going to a nice restaurant."

Treadmill Sessions

Strijd uses the treadmill for cardio sessions. "What I always fit in my workout schedule is running, incline walks and stairs," she says. "So I would say going on a treadmill, run 15 minutes, 15 minutes incline walk, run 15 minutes, 15 minutes incline walk. That will make you sweat, but you will feel energized."

Ab Workouts

Strijd uses weights to work out her abs. "For abs, I like a little circuit on the mat. With every [exercise], you should always be using your abs—even when you do squats," she says. "Try to feel them [with every movement]. I've been doing everything myself with ankle weights and resistance bands, and I bring my jump rope when I travel. You can even do it in a hotel room if you have a mat."

Protein Shakes

Strijd enjoys a protein shake after workouts. "There are different stories about [whey], but it helps me workout and build up some muscle," she says. "I sometimes take those shots with really strong ginger and cayenne. I feel like it's good for your immune system."

5

Typical Cheat Day

Strijd allows herself one day a week to relax and indulge herself. "Hmm, on a cheat day I definitely have to go out for dinner!" she says. "There are so many restaurants to go to on a cheat day. I love bread, with dips, sushi, burgers, pasta… But my real cheat meal is dessert. I have a sweet tooth so this is the area where I like to cheat. Ice cream, with chocolate, caramel, etc… That's what gets me excited!"
