Rosanna Davison in Bathing Suit Posts One "Just for Fun"
Irish actress Rosanna Davison is making a funny—and accurate—point about how kids often eliminate any chance of real relaxation for parents. Davison, 39, shared an Instagram reel of herself lying in a sandbox wearing a bright pink bikini, surrounded by children's toys and with plastic balls flying over her head. "Hasn't been the most relaxing bank holiday Monday ever… anyone else?! 😅" she captioned the humorous post, adding a "just for fun" hashtag. How does she stay so fit? Working Out Six Days a Week
Davison is disciplined about her workouts, usually focusing on a combination of cardio and Pilates. "I work out five to six days a week," she says. "I do a combination of weight training with my personal trainer three times a week, a Pilates class twice a week and then cardio around four times a week."
No Processed Foods
Davison sticks to a healthy, whole foods diet. "I wasn't brought up eating processed foods, so I don't enjoy the taste of sweets, cakes, crisps, desserts and biscuits," she says. "It wouldn't really occur to me to buy or eat them, so my biggest indulgence would be an Indian or Thai takeaway, or freshly-baked bread. My diet may sound strict but I just eat the foods I like to eat and I don't count calories. I prefer intuitive eating and just paying attention to my appetite cues."
Vegan Diet
Davison follows a plant-based diet. "I decided to try a vegan diet when I began studying nutritional biochemistry in college," she says. "I've planned it properly for my own everyday needs and I find that it really helps to support my energy levels. For breakfast, I love homemade smoothies and smoothie bowls, green juice, almond milk lattes, porridge with almond butter and berries, chia seed pudding and vanilla protein pancakes made with oat flour."
Sleep Health and Stress Management
Good sleep and managing stress are important for Davison's health and wellbeing. "I like to keep it simple and focus on eating a diet based on lots of fresh, whole plant foods, healthy fats, and minimal processed foods and refined sugar," she says. "I also drink lots of water, get sufficient sleep, regular exercise and I really try to manage stress levels and emotional well-being each day too. All of that matters when it comes to looking and feeling your best."
Exercise To Unwind
Davison loves the mental health benefits of exercising in nature. "I find exercise a great way to take my mind off things," she says. "I try to meditate as often as I can remember to and I love going for walks in the countryside. Spending time in nature with my husband and dogs is the best way to unwind. We spend a lot of weekends visiting my grandmother in Wexford and chilling out on the farm there."
