"Growing up in Baguio, I have always been very fond of organic fruits and vegetables, and not a day goes by without having them in my meals," she says. "I keep my body fit by simply eating healthy and working out from time to time."

Baeyens loves ice skating with her friends. "Ice skating is an activity where you work almost every major muscle group with an emphasis on the lower body and core (abdominal) muscles," says M. Kathryn Steiner, MD. "Maintaining your balance as you work yourself across the ice is a great challenge that engages your core and builds stability through the legs."

No Dieting

Baeyens doesn't follow fad diets, but enjoys healthy choices that make restriction unnecessary. "I naturally have a fast metabolism," she says. "People are usually surprised that I eat anything I want without gaining a few pounds. Although I do keep my body toned by exercising two to three times a week and eating the right food regularly."

Simple Skincare Approach

Baeyens employs a minimalist approach to her skincare routine. "I stick to the principle of 'the less you put, the better'. Also, I give my skin ample time to breathe and stay healthy by using beauty products at a minimum," she says. "I go for cruelty-free and plant-based skincare products and do not let any day pass without eating fruits and vegetables. As an actress and commercial model, having healthy skin is important in my line of work, but my greatest beauty secret is to always carry a smile. I believe that having a good sense of humor and a vibrant approach will add to the totality of a person's natural beauty."

Growing Her Own Food

Baeyens loves growing her own fruits and vegetables. "Urban gardening can motivate you to eat healthier as you grow your own food," she says. "Other than having the nutrients needed for our bodies, this could also strengthen our mental stability. Having to take care of plants makes your day light up and makes you generally optimistic as a person. Lastly, it will give you better air quality and a cleaner environment."
