1. She Maintains a Healthy Lifestyle
Sarah doesn’t have to crash diet or work out a ton before a shoot, because she maintains a healthy lifestyle. “Being healthy and constantly keeping fit is a part of my lifestyle. I don’t ever find that changing my routine is necessary for photo shoots as I believe you should always stay true to who you are—inside and out!” she told Elle Australia.
2. She Does Pilates and Yoga
In a separate interview with Elle, Sarah revealed two of her favorite workouts: “Pilates or Yoga!” she exclaimed. Per the Mayo Clinic, yoga is great for toning the body and building muscle and mental health. “Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation or relaxation. Yoga may help reduce stress, lower blood pressure and lower your heart rate,” they say.
3. She Meditates

Sarah’s go-to life hacks? “Learn how to meditate and do it regularly!” she told Elle. According to the Mayo Clinic, meditation is a great practice for offering a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health. “And these benefits don't end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly through your day and may help you manage symptoms of certain medical conditions," they maintain.
4. She Paints
Sarah is also a painter, which help boost her mental health. “Painting is like a dance between my canvas and my brush, so that’s when I feel the most free,” she told Body + Soul. “My life in the past has been about flying from city to city, so it’s nice to have something that grounds me and something I can put all of my energy into. It’s a very meditative practice.”
5. She Does Social Media Detoxes

Sarah Ellen regularly does social media detoxes to help with her mental health. During them, she makes sure to meet up with her friends in real life. “Connecting with people online is fun, but don’t forget to connect with people in real life, too. There’s nothing like real human connection and a tangible shoulder to cry on,” she says. She also enjoys nature. “Growing up in Australia, you have an innate connection with the ocean and nature, so I’m constantly at the beach and going for walks. Nature is where I go to recharge,” she adds. Finally, she sets boundaries. “Write down how you can use a platform in the healthiest way. Is it to connect with friends? Is it as a creative outlet or a way to find inspiration? Once you understand what the healthiest form of engagement is, enforce those boundaries.”
