"You can't live your life by the scale," she said. "We don't even have one in our house. I've never believed in them, because your weight fluctuates. It's more about how my clothing fits than a number. Besides, if you deny yourself everything because you're so focused on the mirror or the scale, then when do you get to enjoy life?" She recognizes that it’s unhealthy to check the scale every two seconds and beat yourself up. Seeing that number fluctuate might knock you off track and really it’s just bound to happen.
