While exercise is important to Gellar, she says that she doesn't push herself too hard, and that she makes time to rest and relax. "I do whatever I can whenever I can, but if I'm tired, it's okay to just be tired," she says to Self.

She Doesn't Own A Scale

Gellar says to Self that she doesn't own a scale, and doesn't live her life by obsessing over her weight. She says that she focuses on how her clothes feel on her. "You can't live your life by the scale," she explains. "We don't even have one in our house. I've never believed in them, because your weight fluctuates. It's more about how my clothing fits than a number. Besides, if you deny yourself everything because you're so focused on the mirror or the scale, then when do you get to enjoy life?"

She Doesn't Have Weight Loss Secrets Or Plans

When asked Gellar what her secret was to losing weight, the Buffy star replied that she didn't have one. Rather, she focuses on living a healthy lifestyle and avoiding extreme weight loss methods. "I don't believe in trying to trick your body into things. I eat healthy, I exercise, I love food—but I don't like junk food. I mean, were women. We go up by five pounds, we lose it, depending on the water, the moon, your cycle, whatever. So I just try to maintain."

She Inspires Herself

Slaven Vlasic/Getty Images also asked Gellar what famous woman's photo she would hang up to inspire her. Gellar responded that she would put a photo of herself up. She explained, "I would never do that to myself, especially because I'm aware of the airbrushing and trainers and food programs. You have to use yourself as inspiration. I think if I were ever going to put something up, I would put a picture of myself where I was proud of my body. But I would rather not look at a picture of myself on my fridge. In fact, we have a nonmagnetic fridge."
