Tandon makes sure to eat healthy. One of her secrets is keeping healthy food in her house. She shared some of her favorites in an interview with the Times of India. “I always have fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, oranges, dark chocolates, dry fruits, lemon, as in the morning I have a cup of water with lemon. Lastly, I always have chaas that I love drinking.”

2. She Tries To Be Consistent With Workouts

Tandon shared some of her wellness tips in an interview with the Hindustan Times. She says that when it comes to working out, she attempts to be as consistent as she can. “It is a challenge to keep a disciplined fitness and diet regime while shooting for a daily show. Unfortunately, my studio is far from home: I travel close to three to four hours daily. Still, I try to work out three to four days a week.”

3. She Has Some Rules With Food

Tandon shared some of her food rules in her Hindustan Times interview. “I don’t follow any strict diet chart, but stick to a few thumb rules,” she explained. “I eat oil free or almost oil free food, keep a count of my protein intake, avoid long gaps in my meals and include two fruits daily in my diet. Khan admitted in an interview with the BBC that she used to be a lot heavier when she was young. She said that when she was living in New York, she indulged in a lot of food. However, she decided to get healthier by buying vitamins and vitamin-rich food at a shop next to her favorite restaurant. “You know, I lived on 110 on Broadway and there used to be a Pizza place called Tom’s Pizza. And for the first two years of my college, I have eaten so much of that pizza. I didn’t even realize that there is this Vitamin shop, right next to Tom’s Pizza, where you get these protein bars, salads. I think that was it, the movement from Tom’s Pizza to Vitamin shop. And somewhere in the middle of that, I lost weight.”

Panday opened up about her wellness routine in an interview with Vogue. She says that when it comes to her diet, she eats pretty healthy. She also tries to incorporate foods that will give her immunity into her diet. “In terms of my diet, I’m working more on the immunity side of things. So I’ll start my day with an apple, beetroot, carrot juice and incorporate haldi, fruits and vitamin C throughout the rest of the day.”

3. She Washes Her Face Multiple Times A Day

Panday has amazing skin, and she tells Vogue that she doesn’t have a too intricate routine. She says that she doesn’t use fancy products on her skin, she just makes sure to wash her face with products a couple of times a day. “I use a normal face- wash and spray rose water onto my face at least twice or thrice a day. It energises me and wakes me up.”

That’s why she takes her fitness seriously, incorporating weightlifting, core work, and mobility exercises into her training.

Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. Here’s a closer look at how Malik keeps her body strong and ready for competition.

She Lifts Weights

Malik is seen doing a lot of weight lifting in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. ACE Fitness says that lunges are a form of unilateral training, and that makes them effective. “Unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

She Does Core Workouts

Malik is seen doing core workouts, like hanging crunches in her Instagram video. Core workouts are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes.”

This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest. Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”

Golf is obviously one of the ways that Malik keeps herself in shape. Better Health says that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”
