Molly Ringwald has had a long career, and a lot of time in the public eye. She was a member of the “Brat Pack” actors in the 80’s. She starred in iconic 80’s films like The Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, and Sixteen Candles. Ringwald is still acting, but has focused on TV series roles instead. She’s starred in ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager and The CW’s Riverdale. And this week, she and daughter Adele Georgiana Gianopoulos attended the American Ballet Theatre's Fall Gala at David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Read on to see 5 ways Molly Ringwald stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Eats Healthy

Ringwald tells People that she tries to eat healthy as often as she can, especially after welcoming her twins in 2009. "I try to make sure that I eat something green. I think that's just a really good rule of thumb. I love all different kinds of vegetables, but the green ones are generally the best for you and the best for your diet."

2. She Doesn’t Have A Strict Diet

Ringwald tells People that while she does diet, she makes sure it isn’t all that strict, and just tries to be as healthy as she can. "Just dieting basically, and it wasn't even like a really strict diet. It was more just a sensible diet, cutting down on sweets and upping the vegetables and protein, less starch, and I just worked out a lot, I'd say about three or four times a week."

3. She Meditates

Ringwald reveals to Yahoo Life’s The Unwind, that she’s started meditating. "Somebody taught me about meditation when I was younger, and it was just something that I always had sort of in the back of my mind," she explains. "But it's something that I actively use now as a tool to center myself and to make sure that I'm getting enough oxygen to my brain and all of that. It's something that I do pretty much every day at some point in the day."

4. She Limits Her Screen Time

In this day and age, electronics are a big part of everyday life. However, Ringwald and her husband are working to limit their screen usage, to varying results. "My husband and I, we're taking our phones and putting them outside of the room and then somehow they found their way back," she admits. "I think that's a constant struggle for everyone in these times, negotiating that time that you have on the screen."

5. She Gets Vaccinated Against Several Diseases

Ringwald has become an advocate for vaccines, and not just for the COVID-19 vaccine. Ringwald is encouraging people, especially teenagers to get the meningitis vaccines. She tells SheKnows.com, “I got involved as a possible spokesperson because I think a lot of people know me from the work I’ve done that has to do with teenagers — from the movies I did when I was a teenager to Secret Life of the American Teenager to Riverdale — I’m sort of inextricably connected in some ways to the teen life and existence. But I’m also the parent of a teenage daughter, a 17-year-old, and two pre-teens. My twins are 11 years old. And I’m very conscious and aware of what I can do as a parent to protect them. Of course, as a parent, you want to do everything you can and some things are out of your control but the one thing that we can control is getting them vaccinated. So I would like people to know more about meningococcal meningitis because it’s not even on a lot of people’s radar.”

When I'm backing a car up and I have to look over my shoulder, I'm thankful that I've kept flexible and I can turn my head and it doesn't hurt. Just basic things like that you take for granted when you're younger but can't do anymore when you're older unless you have remained strong and flexible."

London,,England,,Uk,-,October,12,,2021:,Judi,Dench,AttendsShutterstock

In an interview with Surrey Life, 88 year-old actress Judi Dench talked about her eyesight problems and how she’s coping. “On my scripts, my font is point-size 22, so you can imagine… If we’re doing a sonnet of 14 lines, all the others will have one page and I’ll have 14! It’s ridiculous, it’s a farce, but I’m not going to give in.”

4. Meryl Streep

New,York,,Ny,-,May,29,,2019:,Meryl,Streep,WearingShutterstock

74 year-old Meryl Streep, talked about her acting process in an interview with NPR’s Fresh Air, specifically, if she ever gets nervous. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Now I think it happens more when I have to be Meryl Streep and it just seems like too big of a thing for anybody to be. So I get nervous feeling like I have to fill out the parameters of this colossus, or something, in public appearances. ... In acting, acting is ... another kind of transport for me. It's a playground.”

5. Diana Ross

Diana,Ross,At,The,2017,American,Music,Awards,Held,AtShutterstock

I started writing poetry, and it’s not that it came easily, but it just came into my whole being, so I vowed to devote myself to it. I struggle just as anyone else does when the muse disappears or I have difficulty expressing exactly what I want to say. But it’s my life’s work. And I feel fortunate that I accepted the happy burden at a young age.”

7. Cher

Cher,Attends,Cfda,Fashion,Awards,2022,At,Cipriani,South,StreetShutterstock

Despite being 77, Cher seemingly looks the same as she did when her career began. She shared her skincare tips in an interview with Vogue. “I do facial massage to push the fluid out of my face – it’s called lymphatic drainage. And then a trick that I saw that Joan Crawford used to do on Mommy Dearest – she put ice in a bowl and then splashed it on her face. I find that too jolting, so I take a washcloth, submerge it, wring it out and then put it on my face. My old make-up artist, who did all my movies – Leonard [Engelman] – he had a fabulous clay mask. Every once in a while, when I can remember it, I use that. When you first take it off you look strange – you have to wait for your face to unwrinkle.”

And - you know, there's a thing in your head that kind of says to you, I think that was nearer it, you know? But when people are all around you and the pressure is that you're going to get this shot in, you know, the light's going to go - I have such admiration for film actors. Like, I can't tell you. They were all - well, not all of them were there, but at the BAFTAs the other night - and I was there, and I just thought, my goodness.”

Los,Angeles,-,Sep,11:,Gloria,Steinem,At,The,2016Shutterstock

In an interview on Fresh Air, Steinem talked about her support of abortion and why she wanted to speak publicly about hers. “Let's hear from women who have actually had this experience. So I sat there as a reporter for New York magazine, listening to women tell their stories, you know, that were tragic and ludicrous and every human emotion all wrapped into one. And suddenly I thought, wait a minute. You know, I had an abortion, and actually, 1 in 3 American women had needed an abortion at some time in her life, so why is this illegal? And why is it dangerous? And it's the kind of revelation that comes from people just telling the truth and discovering you're not alone.”

And I actually do a lot of things like yoga and Pilates and meditation, but for me, the posture work is at the base of all of it. It’s at the core of everything. Basically the whole thing is lengthening the body and decompressing the spinal column. It’s a very hands-on discipline and you work with a mirror so you can see what you are doing. Whenever I go on tour, I backslide and the old habits creep back, so when I get home I go back to the source.”

I only know how to do me. All I’m ever interested in with my music is expressing what’s in my heart. I’ve never been interested in being a muse for a producer to express his creativity. 1. Jennifer Lopez

"I'm in the best shape of my life," Jennifer Lopez, 52, recently admitted in a May 2021 cover story for InStyle's The Beauty Issue. While she’s always been a fitness inspiration, her workouts have become more efficient as she has aged. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she revealed. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"

2. Heather Graham

Heather Graham, 51, revealed a few of her stay-fit secrets to Refinery29. Not only does she avoid complex carbohydrates—white flour and sugar—but she does a lot of yoga (sometimes multiple workouts a day) and pilates.

3. Demi Moore

Demi Moore, a longtime yogi, recently upped her workout game with the help of at-home workout classes via The Mirror. The 58-year-old also enjoys going on hikes with her family, eats healthy, and doesn’t drink alcohol or do drugs.

4. Catherine Zeta-Jones

Unlike pretty much every other Hollywood star, Catherine Zeta-Jones, 51, doesn’t have a personal trainer. Instead, the Welsh actress trains herself. “I don’t have a trainer. Crazy, right? But I don’t need anyone to motivate me,” she told InStyle. “I love exercise, even things like the elliptical machine and stretching. It’s a legacy of dancing all those years.” According to Catherine she works “at least 45 minutes a day, seven days a week” with some of her favorite workouts being swimming, tennis, peloton, and tap dancing.

5. Paulina Porzikova

Supermodel Paulina Porzikova, 56, didn’t start exercising until she was 40, but now breaks a sweat almost daily. “I try to exercise at least 3-5 days a week. And you know what? I frickin hate it,” she recently revealed in one of her workout videos. “I don’t like to sweat and huff and puff and hurt. If sitting on a couch, eating cake, drinking wine and reading did the same for me as exercise, there would be no contest. BUT. I have come to find out that ‘working out’ is that perfect little pill everyone is looking for. It makes you feel good, look good, good for your brain and body - a small miracle that has to be paid of by a little discomfort.” Her favorite workouts include dancing, rowing, and pilates.

6. Kelly Ripa

Kelly Ripa, 50, refuses to skip a workout "I work out seven days a week," she told In the Know. "And I try to workout an hour and a half a day, no matter what — whether I'm working or not. If I'm working, maybe I'll start it a little bit later or a little bit earlier, depending on what day of the week it is. But I am very religious about my fitness."

7. Salma Hayek

While Salma Hayek, 54, has revealed a number of times that she hates to work out, she does stay moving and has also discovered a creative way to engage her muscles. "Some people have the discipline to exercise in the morning, and I didn't develop that," she told People. "I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long. So even when you brush your teeth, you're working the muscles," she continued. "It's restorative yoga. She taught me how to tone [my muscles] without clenching them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you're aware of your body, you'd be surprised by the effect it can have."

8. Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has always maintained one of the fittest bodies in Hollywood, mostly due to her devotion to healthy diet and exercise. She once revealed to InStyle that she works out “almost every day, at least five or six days a week." And “variety is key” when it comes to the 52-year-old’s workout. "Mixing it up is always fun because that way you know you're excited, and it's muscle confusion. It keeps your body awake," she told Women’s Health. Her favorite workouts include cycling, yoga, barre method, Body by Simone and more recently, boxing. "It's the longest workout I've actually stayed with consistently other than yoga," she told InStyle. "There's something about the mental aspect of boxing — the drills, your brain has to work, you're not just sitting on a bike. It's amazing."

9. Elizabeth Hurley

Elizabeth Hurley, 56, doesn’t work out. “I don’t exercise, but I am very active,” she admitted to Harper’s Bazaar. She clarified to Us Weekly in October 2018 that she stays in shape by “being active” which includes “going for walks, stretching, maybe a little yoga or a little Pilates. But I don’t like high impact, high energy sports. I don’t actually think they do you much good. As long as you get your heart rate to the rate you need it to get, which is a fast walk. But you need to do a bit of it.” She does count steps, however, “I walk every day, so I try and hit my 10,000 steps a day and I do some stretching every day. And then sometimes I do a bit more, but that’s enough for me really.”

10. Cindy Crawford

cindy-crawford-instagramCindy Crawford/Instagram

Cindy Crawford, 55, might not be making workout videos these days, but she is still engaging in regular strength and weight training workouts, posting her clips on social media. She also boxes with her husband, golfs, and surfs. She recently told Red magazine that her workouts have evolved from her supermodel days. Instead of working out until she drops, she takes it easier. “Now my goal is not to get hurt. So, I have added a lot more stretching and Pilates, and I don’t feel as compelled to do those tough workouts any more,” she said.

11. Halle Berry

For Halle Berry, 54, fitness is simply a part of her lifestyle. You just have to have the will and the desire. And you have to make up your mind that it's important. That's the hard work that people “always been fit, and have always thought about fitness and taking care of my body,” her approach has evolved. “It's only changed in terms of how I've been adding to my fitness regimen. It used to just be working out with weights, and then I got into Pilates, and then I got into yoga, and now I'm into martial arts."

12. Sharon Stone

Sharon Stone, 63, stays incredibly active and switches up her workouts. "Every time I exercise, I do something different based on which areas need to get in motion," she told Shape. This includes four to five times a week workouts, combining pilates, total-body stretches, strength training, yoga, and dance. She also avoids alcohol and caffeine and eats incredibly healthy, avoiding gluten.

Most people age as the years go by, but not Demi Moore. The 58-year-old actress still looks just as sensational as she did in her teens. Demi and her daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah recently stripped down into Andie swimsuits for the beachwear brand’s latest campaign, and she also posted a photo of herself "getting ready for another day in paradise" in a bikini. While all the Moore/Willis ladies look fabulously fit, it’s impossible not to notice that the matriarch of the family looks just as youthful as her daughters. What does Demi do to make 58 look like 28? Here are the fitness tips she’s told others, and the photos that prove they work. And to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss this essential list of the Best Celebrity Bikini Photos Ever!

1. She Has Mastered the Art of Acceptance

Demi has mastered the art of acceptance, especially when it comes to aging. “Because you know, things do change,” she told W. “The biggest difference, I think, is that I’m not in nearly as good shape physically as I have been before, and I have skin going in a direction that I would prefer it not go. There are things that just come with getting older. But I think my big mantra for this year is about acceptance. I was reading this book that was written around 1919, if I am remembering correctly, and it was very of its day. It was discussing all the ‘female’ concerns. There were some horrific suggestions on how to take care of yourself, including putting some kind of acid on your skin. But there was one thing I took away, because I think it’s true—the author said not to frown because at a certain point it will stick. And what speaks to me here is that I do believe that when we hold upset, anger, hurt, pain or bitterness, it ages us and we wear it. That isn’t to say we are always going to feel happy. But it’s important not to hold on to things.”

2. She Uses The Mirror

Moore hadn’t worked out in "over four years” until she discovered The Mirror. “My maiden voyage with @getthemirror 15 min at level 1. That’s doable after not working out for over 4 years right? I am stalling!” she wrote in an Instagram post. She has posted several of her workout videos on social media.

3. She Doesn’t Drink or Do Drugs

Demi is very open about her sobriety, something she has struggled with for years. She revealed to Harper’s Bazaar that she first got sober in her 20s, relapsed in her 40s, and got back in her 50s. “In retrospect, what I realized is that when I opened the door [again], it was just giving my power away,” she said. “I guess I would think of it like this: It was really important to me to have natural childbirth because I didn’t want to miss a moment. And with that I experienced pain. So part of being sober is, I don’t want to miss a moment of life, of that texture, even if that means being in—some pain.”

4. She Spends a Lot of Time Outdoors

In addition to her indoor exercise, you can often find the actress enjoying the outdoors and going on hikes with her family.

5. She is a Yogi

Demi has been attending yoga classes for decades and has regularly been snapped at various practices across the country. According to one study: "The benefits of yoga were reported by 94.5 percent of the respondents. The three most common benefits were improvement in: (i) physical fitness, (ii) mental state and (iii) cognitive functions."

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Charli Hawkins is training in the snow – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up

Charli refuses to give up. “Understand what you want first, and then go for it. Then keep going for it all the time, and, eventually, you’ll get it,” she said during her interview.
