As part of my exercise routine, I try to do three to four Movement X classes per week. Movement X is high-intensity interval training and I’ve found it to be the best way to stay toned and keep the kilogrammes off.”

Naidoo revealed her eating secrets to Glamour. She says that she doesn’t diet, but she does avoid and limit her indulgences. “When it comes to nutrition, I don’t really agree with the concept of dieting, but I do try to avoid junk food! Sugars and complex carbohydrates like breads and pastas are a big no-no!”

Naidoo tells Longevity Live that she has become a lot more mindful when it comes to her wellness. She says that the pandemic has helped her do this. “During lockdown, I went into a depressive state and that’s because I wasn’t moving,” she says. “I think the older we get, we start realizing, ‘Oh, this doesn’t make me feel good, I feel sluggish and slow’…I think now I’ve become more in tune with my body and what it wants.”

4. She Does Squats

Naidoo posts a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. In this post, she revealed that she loves to do squats. In the caption, she revealed her tips to doing proper squats. “Feet shoulder width apart. Toes pointed slightly outward. Chest up & spine neutral. Full range of motion- squat equal to or below parallel. Don’t arch your back. Don’t tilt your head. Don’t buckle your knees.”

5. She Works Out Her Upper Body

I live to eat, so I eat everything. Just try to watch the portions as much as I can. I love cooking for friends and family. Sharma is a trained dancer, and loves to practice as a fun way to burn some calories. “I had trained as a classical dancer as a kid,” she says. “Later I took classes in street hip hop, latin dancing-salsa, merengue, jive and jazz at Pineapple studios in London.”

3. Plenty of Seafood

Sharma enjoys the many health benefits of delicious, nutritious fish and shellfish. “I love seafood, I love fish because it has omega-3's which [are] good for your skin and your body and everything,” she says. “[I love] salmon... I also love mussels in coconut broth.”

4. Intermittent Fasting

Sharma fasts for 16-18 hours of the day, and drinks black coffee to keep her going until she breaks her fast. “11am or 12pm will be my first meal, which will be eggs and avocado and orange juice,” she says. “That’s breakfast/lunch for me. Dinner depends on where I am—I will eat any protein with a little bit of carbs. I can’t do without carbs.”

5. Skincare and Sleep

Sharma is diligent about taking care of her skin, which involves a basic beauty routine and at least six hours of sleep. “Basic CTM (cleansing, toning and moisturizing),” she says. “Clean all traces of makeup before going to bed, drink loads of water, get a good six hours of sleep.”

When Chandna signed on to appear in Naagin 5, she had to get in shape. She shared her process to Times Of India. "I had to say bye-bye to all the happy weight and bring a transformation because my character needed that,” she explained. “If you are playing a naagin you need to look sexy, fit and someone who can easily do the stunts. The previous seasons' actresses, who played naagins, had already set a bar so high, that it was important to look different and set a new trend."

2. She Did Her Own Stunts

In Naagin 5, Chandna did a lot of her own stunts. "When I signed up for the show, I did not have time to go to the gym, because we were shooting for 12-13 hours,” she tells Times Of India. “Naagin is not a show that requires you to be at one place throughout the day. The show had a fast pace, we had to run around a lot because of outdoor scenes and do a lot of stunts and action scenes. This helped me burn my calories, so I was burning good calories on the sets, shooting for 12-13 hours."

3. She Believes In Balance

Chandna opened up about her diet to Times Of India. She says that she believes in eating a balanced diet. "I used to eat bhakhri, rice, veggies, chicken and fish. I also consumed jowar bhakhris. I kept away from junk food but I had my 'cheat' days when I used to go out and eat pav bhaji and pizza. The idea was to be physically active and run around a lot, eat in small proportions than totally deprive yourself."

When Chandna isn’t on set doing stunts, she still makes time to workout. She shared some of her favorite exercises to Times Of India. And then just old school: I can chase myself around a gym. I need some kind of movement, even if it's just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline.”
