Shenseea in Bathing Suit Dances in the Sand

Jamaican dancehall singer Shenseea has never been afraid to show off. She's collaborated with Kanye West on his new album, Donda, and was featured on Christina Aguilera's 2018 album Liberation. Now the singer is enjoying a beach day, and twirled around in the sand. In an Instagram post, she wore a gold sequin mesh cover up over a white bathing suit, and let her black hair flow in the wind. 1. She Dances

Shenseea is a dancehall singer, which means she has to do live performances and make music videos. Dancehall music is extremely upbeat and fun to move around to, which means Shenseea does a lot of dancing in her career.

2. She’s Confident

Shenseea is not concerned with what haters on social media have to say about her. She says that she is extremely confident in herself, and doesn’t let things get to her. She said in an interview with Teen Vogue, “I am coming. Even if they can’t pronounce the name or remember, they will remember quite soon enough. I said that when I was just coming on the scene — the first time I started doing music, nobody could pronounce my name properly. And what I told them is still valid — it will roll off your tongue quite soon, don’t worry. And so said, so done. Now everybody’s saying Shenseea.”

3. She’s Picky With Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Shenseea broke down her typical breakfasts to The Jamaica Observer. "I'm really a picky person and I love food, so it's like it has to be right and it's always a mood with food. If I wake up in the morning and I feel for tea, it's just tea I'm gonna have. Sometimes I feel for leftover food from two days ago, that me ago have. I hardly eat eggs in the morning. It's never my go-to thing.”

4. She’s Content With Her Appearance

Shenseea says that she’s happy with how she looks and her body, and told The Jamaica Observer that she doesn’t want to change how she looks. "Me nuh feel no way! A my appearance. Me haffi live with it. I just feel like once you're comfortable, it's [all that's] important. You are the one who has to get up and look at yourself in the mornings. Anything weh mek you, you, be you. Your mind has to be strong.”

5. She’s Cautious Of Her Health

In 2021, Shenseea revealed on her Instagram live that she previously had a health scare. She revealed that she had suffered from a hematoma that sent her to the hospital. She says that this experience has made her a lot more cautious of her health now. “I don’t ever wanna go through that again, and be here. I don’t wanna ever go through anything again that’s detrimental, and be here in America. I would D-I-E ni–a. Capital—all caps. If any of you on this live ever catch hematoma, you know what I’m talking about. The first symptom of hematoma, is pain, literally, not even a likkle headache, not even a likkle eye ache, not even vomiting—pain. That’s the first symptom of a hematoma."
