Shenseea in Bathing Suit Is "Working"

Here is how the Jamaican musician stays fit. 

Shenseea is busy at work in her swimsuit! After taking a brief hiatus from Instagram to focus on her music, the Jamaican singer is heating up the social media site with her latest post. "Sorry I haven't been posting. I just been working…!" she captioned a series of snaps this week, showing off her incredible figure in a swimsuit. How does the dance hall princess keep herself so fit? Be Confident

One glance at Shenseea's Instagram feed and it is clear she is brimming with self confidence. "I am coming. Even if they can't pronounce the name or remember, they will remember quite soon enough. I said that when I was just coming on the scene — the first time I started doing music, nobody could pronounce my name properly. And what I told them is still valid — it will roll off your tongue quite soon, don't worry. And so said, so done. Now everybody's saying Shenseea," she said during an interview with Teen Vogue.

Eat Healthy

Shenseea revealed to The Jamaica Observer that she eats a healthy diet. "I'm really a picky person and I love food, so it's like it has to be right and it's always a mood with food. If I wake up in the morning and I feel for tea, it's just tea I'm gonna have. Sometimes I feel for leftover food from two days ago, that me ago have. I hardly eat eggs in the morning. It's never my go-to thing," she said about her breakfast go-tos. Other food she eats? "Fresh vegetables, fresh meat and ground provisions," she revealed.

Pray

Shenseea struggles with anxiety. However, she has an effective method for shutting her mind off. "I'm an overthinker. I will ruin my own mood just by thinking. That's why I have to pray so much — like sometimes I forget to let God take over," she told The Jamaica Observer.

This Is Her Drink of Choice

Rum may be available in mass quantities in Jamaica, but you probably aren't going to find Shenseea drinking it. In fact, her drink of choice may surprise you. "I am going to say tea," she told The Jamaica Observer. "I'm not a liquor person, not so much."

Pay Attention to Your Health

Shenseea, who revealed in a 2021 Instagram live session that she suffered a hematoma that sent her to the hospital, stresses the importance of prioritizing your health and paying attention to your body's signs. "I don't ever wanna go through that again, and be here. I don't wanna ever go through anything again that's detrimental, and be here in America. I would D-I-E. Capital—all caps. If any of you on this live ever catch hematoma, you know what I'm talking about. The first symptom of hematoma, is pain, literally, not even a likkle headache, not even a likkle eye ache, not even vomiting—pain. That's the first symptom of a hematoma," she said.

Train Hard

When Shenseea hits the gym, she makes her workouts count. "When the workout is working out," she captioned a Facebook video in 2019, highlighting a 20-pound weight loss. She also burns a lot of calories from dancing.
