1. She Does Yoga Daily

Ritabhari starts her every day Monday through Friday with yoga, she told Hindustan Times. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

2. She Also Does Kickboxing, Krav Maga, Dance, and Pilates

After yoga, Ritabhari will do a kickboxing workout or Israeli self-defence called Krav Maga. On the weekends, she prefers to dance it out with kathak or goes for Pilates, she told Hindustan Times.

3. She Is a Vegetarian

Ritabhari eats healthy, cooking most of her food herself. “The best is to avoid oils from outside. I have recently turned vegetarian as I believe it is a step towards a healthier lifestyle and helps curb cruelty against animals. Honestly, I’m enjoying it,” she told Hindustan Times.

4. She Rides Bikes

Ritabhari also loves riding bikes. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

5. She Fought Back Against Body Shamers

After undergoing surgery, Ritabhari gained a lot of weight and was attacked by online trolls. This inspired her to make a move about a plus sized model and even gained over 55 pounds for the role. “It took me four months to gain 25 kgs and six months to lose. So, the four months of gaining and one and a half months of shooting the film affected me. My breathing got affected. I got stretch marks,” she told Cineblitz. “But I just hope that it is going to be worth it. If this film actually resonates with women who constantly feel bad about themselves because of the way the world treats them, I just hope that this film makes them feel good. Nobody can be confident when everyone is telling you that your shape is not right. So, we have shown my character’s journey from where she was to where she reached when she accepts herself.”

Indian actress Surbhi Jyoti is enjoying the sun and sand on vacation in the Maldives, and posted a picture of herself running on the beach in a snazzy swimsuit. “Sea you too💙”, she captioned the Instagram post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Jyoti stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves Riding Her Bike

Jyoti frequently rides bikes, especially on vacation. “One of the major benefits of cycling is that it’s low-impact,” says physical therapist Jaclyn Kubiak, PT, DPT. “It’s been shown that cycling reduces anxiety and depression. Mainly, because you can make it fun. You get the added benefit of being outdoors or you can go do it with friends. You can change the intensity for it yourself,” he adds. “It can be as easy as you want or as hard and enduring as you want.”

2. She Enjoys Travel

Jyoti is always on the move, and says she wishes she could travel even more than she already does. “As a psychologist, I believe that travel should routinely be used to achieve the opposite: to get out of your comfort zone, expose yourself to uncertainty, and eschew rest for exploration and learning,” says Todd B. Kashdan, PhD. “The result is personal growth — greater emotional agility, empathy, and creativity.”

3. She Loves To Walk

Jyoti enjoys walking whenever she can, and experts say it is one of the best activities for both body and mind. “Researchers already know that any kind of physical activity blunts the risk of breast cancer,” says Harvard Health. “But an American Cancer Society study that zeroed in on walking found that women who walked seven or more hours a week had a 14% lower risk of breast cancer than those who walked three hours or fewer per week. And walking provided this protection even for the women with breast cancer risk factors, such as being overweight or using supplemental hormones.”

4. She Is a Yogi

Jyoti is a devotee of yoga, and practices it whenever possible. She also makes a point to stay hydrated throughout the day. “My mantra in terms of fitness is practicing yoga and drinking lots of water,” Jyoti tells TellyChakkar. “Whether you’re a couch potato or a professional athlete, size and fitness levels do not matter because there are modifications for every yoga pose and beginner classes in every style,” says Natalie Nevins, DO, a board-certified osteopathic family physician and certified Kundalini Yoga instructor in Hollywood, California. “The idea is to explore your limits, not strive for some pretzel-like perfection. It is a great way to get in tune with your body and your inner self.”

5. She Has Eggs and Milk Every Day

Jyoti considers herself a “big foodie”. “I eat a mix of fruits and veggies,” she says. “I like eating anything that is homemade. Milk and eggs are a must on my breakfast table. I prefer eating salad or an egg omelet for my dinner. I drink only red wine [for alcohol].” Eggs are a great choice for a healthy, nutritious breakfast, experts say. “Eggs are rich in protein, which is more filling than either fat or carbohydrate,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “As a food choice, eggs score well, being high on the satiety index, a measure of how filling a food is. In fact, studies show that an egg breakfast is more sustaining than the equivalent calorie counted carb breakfast and, what’s more, may help reduce your calorie intake later in the day.”

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
