1. Maintain Balance

“A healthy lifestyle is a balanced lifestyle,” Solenn explained to GMA Network. “So, you need to be able to do all the things you want in a day, you need to be able to balance the good and the bad. Like when it comes to food, I'm not saying I don't eat fried crispy pata, I enjoy my crispy pata but I make sure not to eat it every day.”

2. Stock Your Kitchen with Healthy Food

Solenn suggests keeping your kitchen stocked with healthy eats. "If I’m not following a recipe book, in my fridge, you’ll always find chicken breast, fruits because I have juice every morning," she told GMA Network. "Chocolate, avocado, I like the fat of avocado, coconut juice, Milo, mushrooms. That’s my standard grocery list."

3. Don’t Add Chemicals or Calories to Your Food

Keep your food simple, suggests Solenn. "Don’t add too many additives. Let’s say if you’re gonna buy chicken, the healthiest to do it is if you just grill it or steam it," she told GMA. When eating grilled chicken,"Don’t add the sauce and the thing and the this and the that."

4. Cook Your Own Food

Solenn suggests eating at home over restaurants. "As much as you can eat at home so you know what’s being put into your food because even if you have salad in a restaurant, you really don’t know what you’ve added there,” she told GMA.

5. Don’t Eat Less, Eat Smarter

“Forcing yourself to eat less when you need way more to satisfy yourself is the farthest thing from healthy,” Solenn told Preview. “Stick to eating a good balance of nutrient-rich foods instead of eating very little. Besides, staying fit is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise, so what you eat definitely has more of an impact to your figure than the squats you do twice a week.”

6. Move!

Exercise doesn't always have to happen in the gym, reminds Solenn. “Doing minimal things like walking instead of driving short distances and taking the stairs are simple ways to keep your body moving. But if you've been itching for a proper yoga appointment and gym membership for a while now, what are you waiting for?” she explained to Preview.
