Sonnalli Seygall in Bathing Suit Has "Chill Vibes"

She is a major foodie.

Indian actress Sonnalli Seygall is as comfortable in a bathing suit as she is in a ballgown. The 33-year-old is on vacation in Turkey, and posted a dazzling photo of herself enjoying a cocktail in a gold bikini. “A typical day at the @museumhotel 🌟,” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 6 ways Seygall stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Drinks Plenty Of Water

“I start my mornings, my first thing is a liter of water,” Seygall tells Bollywood Hungama. “Of which two or three are glasses of warm water with apple cider vinegar, one of which is with lemon.” “Some people find drinking a glass of lemon water, particularly first thing in the morning, aids digestive regularity,” says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. “Although this is mainly subjective and reports are anecdotal, studies on mice do show some promise. A 2019 study suggested that life-long consumption of a drink rich in lemon polyphenols appeared to delay the age-related changes seen in the gut, including changes in the balance of beneficial gut bacteria.”

2. She Enjoys Walnuts and Almonds

Seygall loves to eat almonds and walnuts that she’s soaked overnight. “All nuts are not created equal. Many nuts (such as my favorites, almonds and cashews) are rich in monounsaturated fats, along with polyunsaturated fats,” says Robert H. Shmerling, MD. “These are healthier types of fats than saturated and trans fats, but the specific combination of fats and polyunsaturated fatty acids contained in walnuts may be particularly good for cardiovascular health.”

3. She Gets Plenty of Sleep

“I try and get eight hours of sleep at night, I prefer it that way. When I'm at home I take a nap in the afternoon,” Seygall says. “Napping can help you feel a little more energetic, alert and relaxed,” says psychologist and behavioral sleep disorder specialist Michelle Drerup, PsyD. “For most people, a power nap of 15 to 30 minutes is the best strategy. That’s long enough to feel refreshed, but not so long that you’ll move into deeper stages of sleep or take away your sleep drive for the next night.”

4. She Eats Eggs and Rice For Breakfast

Seygall eats one rice dish and eggs for breakfast. “Eggs are rich in several nutrients that promote heart health, such as betaine and choline,” says Lewin. “A study of nearly half a million people in China suggests that eating one egg a day may reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, although experts stress that eggs need to be consumed as part of a healthy lifestyle in order to be beneficial.”

5. Vegetables and Fish For Lunch and Dinner

A typical lunch and dinner for Seygall usually consists of fish and vegetables. “Fish is a very important part of a healthy diet,” says Harvard Health. “Fish and other seafood are the major sources of healthful long-chain omega-3 fats and are also rich in other nutrients such as vitamin D and selenium, high in protein, and low in saturated fat. There is strong evidence that eating fish or taking fish oil is good for the heart and blood vessels.”

6. She Avoids Sugar

Seygall says no foods are off-limits, but she tries to avoid sugar. “I’m a foodie, I don’t starve myself, I eat a lot of carbs, I eat cheese, I eat everything,” she says. “The only thing I don’t eat is sugar… for me food is very important to be happy, so if I feel like eating something I eat it.” Seygall is smart to limit sugar, experts say. "The effects of added sugar intake — higher blood pressure, inflammation, weight gain, diabetes, and fatty liver disease — are all linked to an increased risk for heart attack and stroke," says Dr. Frank Hu, professor of nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
