Meditation and Journaling
Pierson meditates and journals every day, and loves the effect it has on her mental health. "My mind is calm and I am completely in the moment, so I am generally happy for the most part of my day," she says. "If something bad happens or I am triggered by someone, I am quick to shift my mood back to neutral, because I know that moping around doesn't benefit me."
Lots of Sleep
Pierson knows the importance of getting enough sleep for health and happiness. "I sleep eight hours a night and if I don't I'm a zombie; I am obsessed with my sleep and love sleeping in," she says. "I am definitely not a morning person."
Leg and Glute Workouts
Pierson posts videos of her workouts on social media, sharing what works for her—like this leg and glute workout. "Strong gluteals are important for proper pelvic alignment, propulsion during walking and running, and even standing on one leg," says Amy Koch, MPT, COMT. "Gluteals also help support the lower back during lifting, and help prevent knee injuries."
Self-Care
Pierson says self-care keeps her centered. "There are many things I do beyond meditating and journaling to feel self-love and taking care of myself," she says. "A lot of these things have to do with creating things, like doing my nails, cooking, organizing, doing yoga, using crystals, going to the gym, painting, going to the spa or reading a good book."
Supplements For Hair and Nails
Pierson takes supplements to support her health. "Along with proper diet and exercise, I recommend taking vitamins including biotin and other hair growth ingredients which all affect hair, skin, and nails," she says. "I'm currently using Hairtamin as well as taking High DHA Omega 3 Oil and Maca root."
