Katrina Scott in Bathing Suit is Sports Illustrated's Rookie of the Year
Katrina Scott is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie of the Year! The gorgeous mother and fitness brand founder was unveiled with the top honors this week, showing off her fantastic figure in a variety of swimsuits on social media. "I am beyond speechless… thank you to my @SI_swimsuit fam. It's an honor to be 2021's Rookie Of The Year," she wrote in one of the posts, modeling a red bathing suit. "It's been such a transformation year— the biggest thing that I've learned is that when you surround yourself with people who believe in you, encourage you with kindness, respect you, communicate with love and tenderness, and just want to see you genuinely happy… then you all rise and succeed together. The love goes around. I am so excited for all the new chapters SI is entering too… literally the hardest working group of women and it's just the beginning! ♥️ Thank you for believing in me when I doubted myself the most… you took me under your wing and gave me the courage to fly." She Embraces Her Maternal Curves
In July, Katrina walked in SI Swim's runway show during Miami Swim Week while undergoing IVF treatments. "I think ever since becoming a mom, I've realized how beautiful and remarkable a woman's body is," she told SI Swim. "I appreciate my body so much that I was able to create life."
Her Goal Is to Empower People
Katrina wants to help other people find their inner power. "It's never too early to start thinking about how do you want to impact the world? How do you want to impact your family? And look at your life later and say I made people feel really amazing around me. I empowered them and I hope that I can do that as a mom," she added.
She Co-Owns a Fitness Company
Katrina is a fitness mogul! The gorgeous model co-owns Tone It Up, which offers products, programming, even protein powders targeted toward a female demographic. "Tone It Up empowers you to live your healthiest, happiest, and most confident life. From workouts, to healthy recipes, meditations, and a vibrant community, you'll feel connected— mind, body, and soul," reads a statement on their website.
Her Diet Is Healthy
In an interview with her Tone It Up co-founder, Katrina suggests eating lean, clean, and green. "This means to focus on eating clean, unprocessed, whole foods like lean proteins, leafy greens and healthy fats. This also includes healthy treats like protein muffins, donuts and pancakes. We never want you to deprive yourself or give up your favorite foods," she says. She also consumes a lot of protein and eats with intention.
Hydrate
Katrina also encourages hydration. "Make sure you're drinking half your body weight in ounces of water per day. Most of the time when your brain is tired and you feel fatigued, you're actually dehydrated, and you could be tempted to grab something high in sugar to help your energy levels. Instead, fill up your water bottle. Staying hydrated will boost your metabolism and make your skin glow!" she says.
