Meadow Walker, the American model, poses in nice clothes for a living and now she’s showing off a look of her own—a selfie in a swimsuit. The budding icon, the only daughter of the late Paul Walker (she continues his work through the charitable Paul Walker Foundation), looked toned as usual and captioned it with a simple shrug emoji. How does she stay so fit? 1. She Loves Yoga

Yoga helps Walker stay centered and flexible. One study, in the Journal of Physical Therapy Science, looked at older women who did Hatha yoga once a week and found “that the applied yoga exercises increased spinal mobility and flexibility of the hamstring muscles regardless of age. Yoga exercises should be recommended to the elderly to make their muscles more flexible and to increase the range of motion in the joints, which is particularly important for improving their life quality.”

2. She Says “Do What Makes You Feel Good About Yourself”

"Do what makes you feel good about yourself and try to shut out the rest," Walker told Vogue. "I'm not the most confident person in the world, but I have to bring myself back to that. If you keep those feelings of insecurity and not feeling confident in your head too long, it becomes so real."

3. She Meditates

“Mindfulness is one of the most popular meditation techniques. It has two main parts: attention and acceptance,” says the American Psychological Association. “The attention piece is about tuning into your experiences to focus on what's happening in the present moment. It typically involves directing your awareness to your breath, your thoughts, the physical sensations in your body and the feelings you are experiencing. The acceptance piece involves observing those feelings and sensations without judgment. Instead of responding or reacting to those thoughts or feelings, you aim to note them and let them go.”

4. She Enjoys Acupuncture

“Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance.”

“Growing up and seeing my cousins, who were really just my mum's friend’s kids. They were quite a bit older than me. I was seven and they were probably 12, and I remember always seeing them with their makeup and I was like, ‘I want to use it,’ but I was too little. I thought it was so glamorous—the clear mascara and those flavored lip glosses,” she told Vogue.

Polish actress Katarzyna Glinka doesn’t just work on her outer appearance—she focuses on her mental health, too. Glinka posted a photo of herself looking serene in a black and white bathing suit, saying she was enjoying some mindfulness. “When Leo sleeps in the morning I learn to meditate. It's not easy because I'm one of those who think too much - and that doesn't help with meditation. But you know what, I've been trying to observe the world since this morning. Looking at the specks. For how the day wakes up. Mindfulness helps to stop thoughts from flowing. And what's more interesting - time stops flying,” she captioned the shot. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Glinka stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves Mexican Food

Glinka is a huge fan of Mexican food, and loves to cook it at home for her friends and family. “There’s a tremendous amount of confidence-boosting and self-esteem boosting, performing an act like cooking for others,” says Julie Ohana, a licensed masters clinical social worker and culinary art therapist. “And that’s part of what lends itself to those psychological effects about being able to do something that you feel really good about.”

2. She Meditates

Glinka likes to start her day with meditation. “If you have unproductive worries,” says Dr. Elizabeth Hoge, a psychiatrist at the Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital and an assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. “You might think ‘I’m late, I might lose my job if I don’t get there on time, and it will be a disaster!’ Mindfulness teaches you to recognize, ‘Oh, there’s that thought again. I’ve been here before. But it’s just that—a thought, and not a part of my core self.’”

3. She Gets Spa Facials

Glinka takes care of her skin with regular facials, which she considers “me time”. “Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems,” says the Mayo Clinic. “To encourage healthy skin — and a healthy state of mind — take steps to manage your stress. Get enough sleep, set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do the things you enjoy. The results might be more dramatic than you expect.”

4. She Loves To Ski

Glinka enjoys taking skiing trips with her family. “Exercise can be a mental distraction from worrisome thoughts. We also know that being out in nature generally enhances our sense of well-being, so exercise that takes place outdoors, such as skiing in this study, should be especially helpful,” says James Maddux, a professor emeritus in the department of psychology at George Mason University in Virginia. “Engaging in a period of exercise can lead to a sense of accomplishment and a greater sense of self-efficacy (or self-confidence) that can lead to lower anxiety.”

5. She Enjoys Mango

Glinka loves to eat fruit, especially delicious mango. “Mangos are a good source of protective compounds with antioxidant properties, these plant chemicals include gallotannins and mangiferin,” says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. “Both have been studied for their ability to counter the oxidative stress associated with day to day living and exposure to toxins. As with other plant foods many of these compounds are found in and just beneath the skin. A 2012 study looking at the peel of mangoes concluded that it may play a role in preventing obesity, thanks to the plant chemicals located there.”

Elle Macpherson isn’t just a supermodel who wants to look good; she believes in healthy living, as co-founder the supplement and wellness company WelleCo. So when she gives healthier living advice, it’s usually coming from a real place. For example, today she shared a photo of herself in a swimsuit, with her eyes closed, subtitled “Morning meditations.” (She tagged Mathilde Favier, the Public Relations Manager at @dior, for the “day in the life beauty challenge.”) How does she keep so fit and together? 1. She Meditates

You don’t need to be solo in a studio with your legs crossed to meditate (though that certainly works). Meditation is about being present, focusing on your breath, and calming the mind by allowing thoughts to pass without judgement. Can’t do that on your own? No biggie. Download an app like Calm or Headspace, which will walk you through guided meditations, working to improve your breathing and, in turn, bring your cortisol levels back to normal. “I wake at around 5.30am, I set my intentions for the day, I try to be kind to myself and check in, to understand how I am feeling in my body and my mind. I try to take about 30 minutes every morning to meditate. It helps keep me stay balanced and feel strong and confident,” Macpherson told GettheGloss.

2. De-Stressing Helps You Lose Weight

When you’re feeling overwhelmed by your stress and you allow it to run rampant, the effects on your body is nothing short of disastrous. “Stress in and of itself can literally shut down your metabolism,” says Jeffrey A. Morrison, M.D., C.N.S, an expert in integrative medicine and metabolism issues. “It is tremendously metabolically draining. Remember: your thyroid is the ignition switch for your metabolism.” That’s why meditation works. Chilling out has a direct impacton stress. Research out of Georgetown University Medical Center finds that after an eight-week course in mindful meditation, people with anxiety disorders lowered inflammatory markers and stress hormones in their blood by 15 percent.

3. Macpherson Eats Her Greens

In addition to using her own brand of WelleCo products, “I’ll take a handful of natural organic pea sprouts with another handful of natural organic sunflower sprouts, then add a pinch of broccoli, some alfalfa sprouts and half an avocado. I drizzle a mix of lemon juice, avocado and coconut aminos, otherwise I enjoy a tahini dressing – manuka honey, apple cider vinegar and a handful of sprouted seeds over the top,” she told Dr. Barbara Strum. Avocado is indeed a superfood. Research conducted in Mexico found that monounsaturated-rich oil pressed from the fruit can help mitochondria survive attack. Researchers say the results jive with low-disease rates in Mediterranean countries where olive oil—nutritionally similar to the avocado—is a diet staple.

4. Here’s Her Take on Wellness

Melbourne Cup Carnival 2018Shutterstock

“I believe in maintenance, I’m not a big binge and purge person. I think it’s really important to maintain wellness year-round. Not because it looks good but it actually feels good – which is really important when you’re running a business and you’ve got kids and a full life. It’s easy – I just make good choices and I enjoy the choices that I make. I really enjoy a plant-based diet, I love vegetables,” she said once.

5. Here’s Her Eating Schedule

Remus Lifestyle Night 2018Isa Foltin/WireImage

“I have three meals a day and two snacks, mid-morning and afternoon. I have a bit to eat with my son at 6:30am after my drinks. I might have a poached egg sometimes, or half an avocado or some muesli that I make in the dehydrator with nuts and seeds and a little bit of coconut and cinnamon, and I’ll mix that with some fresh hemp or almond milk that I make myself,” she has said.

Over the past few years, Sydney Sweeney has become one of America’s sweethearts with celebrated roles in everything from hit HBO shows Euphoria and White Lotus to big-screen movies Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Anyone But You. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
