She Doesn't Stress Over Her Weight
Outhwaite revealed some of her wellness secrets to Top Sante. She says that she doesn't really stress over her weight all that much. "My weight goes up and down, but I am happy with my body. I don't go on the scales. I fluctuate between a size 10 and 12 but I can always tell by how my clothes fit whether I have been eating too many carbs or not exercising enough, but I don't give myself a hard time about it."
She Cooks With Superfoods
Outhwaite says to Top Sante that she likes to cook a lot of her own meals. She says that she makes healthy options with superfoods. "Pulses, spring onions, and tuna are some of my kitchen staples. I love fish and one of my favorite suppers is a piece of salmon with broccoli and sweet potato mash."
She Loves Yoga
One of Outhwaite's favorite exercises to do is yoga. "I started doing it about 10 years ago," she told Top Sante. "The breathing makes it meditative for me, and it's like my therapy. Everyone in the studio is dripping with sweat, and if you fancy a little cry, you can and no one notices! For me, it's a safe haven and it's been a great place to have a good old sob for quite a while now. Not every time, but there are moments when I feel I have released something. It's wonderful."
She Doesn't Have A Sweet Tooth
For Outhwaite, eating healthy comes naturally to her. She tells Top Sante that she grew up eating healthy, and that she doesn't really crave sweet things. "When I was growing up, I never saw my mum (Anna) on a diet and so it was instilled in me from very early age to eat good food. We didn't really have sweets or biscuits in the house so I think, as a result, that's why I haven't got a sweet tooth."
She's Plant Based
Outhwaite tells Closer that she recently started to change her diet. She says that she has started to live a vegan, plant based, lifestyle. "I've just done a couple of weeks of being meat and dairy-free, trying vegan ready meals," she says. "To get the most out of a vegetarian diet, choose a variety of healthy plant-based foods, such as whole fruits and vegetables, legumes and nuts, and whole grains. At the same time, cut back on less healthy choices, such as sugar-sweetened beverages, fruit juices and refined grains. If you need help, a registered dietitian can assist you in creating a vegetarian plan that's right for you," says the Mayo Clinic.
