She Is a Body Builder

After getting into yoga when her ex-husband, Joe, went to prison, she "was looking for the next thing," she explained to Us. "I also wanted to show my daughters that if you put hard work and time into something, you can achieve anything." It resulted in her best body ever. "I love the way my arms and back look. All my clothes are big on me. My body drastically changed because of yoga, but this was even more extreme. It debunks the myth that if you're over 40, you can't look good."

While she is training Teresa prioritizes hydration. She recently told Bravo that she makes sure she's "drinking a gallon of water every day." "So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? The U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is:

  • About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day for men
  • About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women," says the Mayo Clinic.

Teresa maintains a healthy diet. "The most important thing is eating very clean," she Bravo. "My diet has changed. I even hate the word 'diet' but I can't eat carbs anymore. Like, I'm an Italian girl, I can't eat my pasta — I gotta eat good carbs." She fuels up with veggies and protein. "So what I'm eating now is a protein and a vegetable. Grilled chicken, grilled turkey, grilled cod, grilled flounder. Some of the vegetables I eat are asparagus, green beans. In the morning I have oatmeal; otherwise sometimes I make six egg whites and I make an omelette out of it and I put some kind of vegetable in it."

Teresa revealed in a recent Instagram story that she is one of the many celebs who drink celery juice. Says our sister site Eat This, Not That!: "What research has shown is that celery juice seems to deliver on hydration in a big way. That's because celery is composed almost entirely of water, and it contains the electrolyte potassium, which helps balance fluid in the body. As a result, celery juice can aid hydration."
