She Body Builds

Teresa started bodybuilding in 2018. "It was something I've always wanted to do—for myself," she told Us Weekly. "I've gone to the gym since I could drive. I wanted to see my body transform." "Strength training can be done at home or in the gym. Free weights and weight machines are popular strength training tools, but they're not the only options," says the Mayo Clinic. "You can do strength training with inexpensive resistance tubing or even your own body weight. Proper technique is important, however, to prevent injury and gain the most benefit. With proper technique, you may enjoy noticeable improvements in your strength and stamina over time."

Teresa drinks a lot of water. In a video with Bravo, she revealed hydration is a priority for her. "I'm drinking a gallon of water each day," she said. "Hot or humid weather can make you sweat and requires additional fluid. Dehydration also can occur at high altitudes," says the Mayo Clinic. "You don't need to rely only on water to meet your fluid needs. What you eat also provides a significant portion. For example, many fruits and vegetables, such as watermelon and spinach, are almost 100% water by weight."

In preparation for a swimsuit bodybuilding competition, Giudice did 45 minutes of weight training every day and 45 minutes of cardio twice a day. She walked Bravotv.com through her favorite exercises: a tricep pulldown, some stretching, a low row (for her back), some leg exercises, like a seated leg curl, to work her hamstring and glutes, and a leg press.

Her Diet Is Healthy

Giudice gave fans a look at her refrigerator in a video for Bravo. She revealed that she eats pretty healthy. "I have my meal prep, grilled chicken, brown rice, very healthy carbs. I have lo mein salad, strawberries, my daughters love them."

She Feels Sexy

Body building also helps her feel better. "I feel like I look sexier. This is the most confident I've felt since after my kids," she continued. "I love the way my arms and back look. All my clothes are big on me. My body drastically changed because of yoga, but this was even more extreme. It debunks the myth that if you're over 40, you can't look good."

She Doesn't Diet

"My diet has changed. I even hate the word 'diet,' but I can't eat carbs anymore. Like, I'm an Italian girl, I can't eat my pasta—I gotta eat good carbs," she told Bravo. Instead, she eats: "Grilled chicken, grilled turkey, grilled cod, grilled flounder," she said. "Some of the vegetables I eat are asparagus, green beans. In the morning I have oatmeal; otherwise sometimes I make six egg whites, and I make an omelet out of it and I put some kind of vegetable in it."
