In 2019, Kardashian West started eating less animal products. “I am eating all plant-based when I am home,” she revealed on Instagram. In January 2021, she made the shift again. “Plant-based and two workouts a day for 30 days to get our mind and body right this year,” she said in an Instagram story with her sister Khloe.

3. She Works Out Almost Daily, No Excuses

Kim works out nearly every day. “I work out about an hour-and-a-half every single day,” Kim told E! News. "Just like anybody else, there are days where Kim's not really feeling it, but she will do it," her trainer, Melissa Alcantara told People in 2020. "Then there are a lot of days when she's killing it! She never questions the stuff that I make her do, she's just like, 'Okay,' and I love that."

4. Her Workouts Are Hardcore

In 2018, Kim revealed that she had started working with Alcantara. "I’ve been working out really hardcore with a bodybuilder for one year. September is our one-year anniversary,” 37-year-old Kim told E! News, via People. The duo lift “heavy weights.” Her trainer later told Women’s Health that 85% of their training is done with weights.

5. She Recently Started Doing More Cardio

While Kim once told E! that she doesn’t “do a lot of cardio," she recently shared on Instagram that she added treadmill sprints to her routine and they have been a game-changer. "Been sprinting every day!" she wrote in an Instagram Story. "I've been seeing changes!"

6. She Starts Her Days Early

Kim revealed to Poosh that she wakes up incredibly early. “On a general day, I wake up at 5:45 a.m. for my workout at 6 a.m. I’ll pick out my workout clothes the night before. I keep it basic and pretty much wear the same thing all the time, and then I work out for about an hour,” she said.

7. She Uses CBD

Kim uses CBD to help maintain her cool. “I started taking CBD, and it really changed things for me. It calms me down automatically,” she told Poosh. “I think you have to take it situation by situation and really make sure that you don’t overwhelm yourself and remember to do things for yourself.”

Kourtney Kardashian is enjoying winter—in her swimsuit! The eldest Kardashian sister shared a photo to her Instagram stories in a patio chair, tagging her lifestyle brand Poosh. Kourtney, who is known to dabble in everything from Keto to intermittent fasting, recently committed a primarily plant-based diet. Read on to learn about everything Kourtney Kardashian eats in a day to stay in such fantastic shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Kourtney “Eased” Into a Plant-Based Lifestyle

Kourtney-KKourtney Kardashian/Instagram

Per a blog on her Poosh lifestyle website, Kourtney spent six to seven months “easing” into a plant based lifestyle, which entails no meat and the “occasional” butter and honey. “If you’re thinking about becoming vegan, you can make the shift in small waves if that’s easier for you,” suggests the post. “Start by replacing meat with plant-based options once a week and increase from there. Kourt admits when she first started, she couldn’t resist and had a baked crab handroll while at dinner during the first few weeks. It’s all about balance and finding how and when you’re comfortable with incorporating the changes into your lifestyle.”

2. Breakfast

For her first meal of the day, Kourtney will drink either her signature avocado shake or banana smoothie, subbing vegan protein powders. She might also nibble on gluten-free and vegan cinnamon toast, a blueberry bagel from Yeastie Boys in L.A. smothered with peanut butter and jelly, an acai bowl (here is one of her go-to recipes.) If it is a “treat” day, she might enjoy vegan chicken and waffles from Crossroads (find the recipe in their cookbook).

3. Snack

Tangerine,Fruits,On,Wood,BackgroundShutterstock

For a mid-morning snack, Kourtney loves pickles and tangerines or Mindright bars (peanut butter flavor is her favorite.)

4. Lunch

An average lunch for Kourtney might be this Zoodles dish (minus the turkey bacon) or sourdough bread with vegan butter and topped with pickles with a side of tangerines.

5. Dinner

Two of Kourt’s go-to plant-based dinners? Plant-based tacos or vegan sushi at Nobu. Her go-to order is crispy rice with avocado, edamame, and an avocado roll.

Kim Kardashian is “always ready” and she proves it in her latest social media photos captioned as such. In them, she’s seen in a bathing suit top with a motorcycle helmet. She has said in the past that she only posts when she's "really feeling it." In this case, her followers feel it, too. “It’s not ok how beautiful you are,” commented sister Khloé. "You’re so beautiful Kim," said makeup artist Mary Phillips. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kim Kardashian stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Wakes Up Early to Workout

Kim frequently posts 6am workouts. Try them. “If you are a person who doesn’t mind working out in the morning, there are many reasons why this can help spike your metabolism. One of the first biological reasons working out in the morning can be effective is the increased levels of testosterone (especially in males) that happen first thing when you wake up. Overnight our bodies begin to increase their testosterone production. Because of this, our testosterone levels are highest upon awakening. As you may or may not know, testosterone is the hormone that promotes muscle growth. The more testosterone we have in our bodies while working out, the more efficient our bodies will be at muscle production. Taking advantage of this morning boost of testosterone can help build muscle more efficiently,” reports NIFS.

2. She Aims to Eat “Healthier”

“For me, I just always want to try to eat healthier,” Kim has said. She, for a time at least, was eating mostly plant-based foods. Consider it. Here’s why: You understand how cavities come about, right? When you eat sugary foods, that sugar sticks to your teeth. Bacteria in your mouth digest the sugar, and that process causes damage to the tooth enamel, which leads to cavities. Brush your teeth often, floss, and eat less sugar, and presto—fewer cavities. Well, imagine that your belly works the same way. Bad bacteria in your gut feed off sugar, just like the bacteria in your mouth. And a Harvard study recently found that a diet based primarily on animal protein—especially one that involves lots of food packaging and burger wrappers—can quickly alter the delicate balance of microbes in your belly as well. Even a short-term change in the balance between animal products and plant products can cause rapid changes in your belly.

3. She Drinks Oat and Nut Milks

Kim’s fridge has oat and nut milks. The non-dairy options can be great to reduce bloating. Almond and coconut milk are commonly available in most markets, but don’t hesitate to experiment with whatever non-dairy milks are on hand at your local market: hazelnut, hemp, rice, and oat milk all can add a creamy dimension to any recipe. One to avoid: soy milk. Soy is particularly high in naturally occurring compounds called estrogenics, which raise estrogen levels and lower testosterone levels, which promotes fat storage. That doesn’t mean you need to avoid soy at all costs, but most Americans eat far more soy than they know.

4. She Starts Her Morning With Oatmeal

Kim has said she starts her mornings with vegan sausage and oatmeal. Love it. Starting your day with a bowl of slow-burning oatmeal will help to regulate your hunger and provide your body with powerful beta-glucans, compounds that act like bouncers for low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, shuttling that bad cholesterol right out of the VIP room that is your belly. And by pairing your oats with fruits rich in vitamin C, you’re going to double the effect—the result of organic compounds called phenols interacting to stabilize cholesterol levels, according to a study published in the journal Nutrition.

5. She Has Used Light Therapy

Kim has used light therapy for her psoriasis. "The disease is something I have learned to live with, but there are still times when I can feel insecure about it—especially on red carpets or at a photo shoot," she writes. "There isn’t a cure for psoriasis, but there are treatments that can help ease the symptoms." “Light therapy is a first-line treatment for moderate to severe psoriasis, either alone or in combination with medications. It involves exposing the skin to controlled amounts of natural or artificial light. Repeated treatments are necessary. Talk with your doctor about whether home phototherapy is an option for you,” says the Mayo Clinic.

She writes on her app in 2018, "My trainer Mel [Alcantara] always says that before and after you train, you should eat simple carbs, like sweet potatoes, and small amounts of fat and protein, like chicken. You should also have veggies with your meals, since you need them to help effectively break down and absorb your protein, fat and carbs.”

2. She Eats A Plant Based Diet

For exercise, Kardashian is a fan of weight and strength training, which she does everyday. "I work out about an hour-and-a-half every single day, heavy weights, I don't do a lot of cardio,” she says to E! News. "I've been working out really hard-core with a bodybuilder for one year."

4. She’s Disciplined

Kardashian’s trainer, Melissa Alcantara, tells Women’s Health that the reality star is extremely committed to her fitness. “Kim is super responsible, she never cancels—she's the best client and athlete you could have,” Alcantara says. "Once [working out is] part of your daily routine and your life, then it's not something you have to think about, you just have to do it."

5. She Eats Healthier

Kardashian tells E! News that she is working on eating a lot healthier, and has cut out a lot of her favorite indulgences. She says, “I don’t really eat sugar the way I used to. It doesn’t really do it for me.” Kardashian admits that she didn’t always eat the healthiest, but is now viewing her diet in a better way. “I’ve kind of been trained to just eat a lot healthier than I used to. I used to just eat anything and everything and I loved it,” she said. “And so I really do control that now. … I don’t want to ruin it by just stuffing my face.”

1. She Goes to the Gym

She works out right. “We’re back in the gym heavy! I would say every 6 months I take two weeks off from lifting. Sometimes you just need a break to recharge and chill but then I miss it so much and feel so good to be back at it,” she wrote on Instagram once. "When it comes to” the backside “and legs, we usually work out for an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes," Kim’s trailer Melissa Alcantara told Women's Health. "You want to work out efficiently and be smart about it."

2. She Eats Plant-Based

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - October 10, 2021Gotham/GC images via Getty Images

“I eat mostly plant based. No meat anymore,” she told a fan on social media. “Investigators have studied the relationship between plant-based food intake and various ailments in many, many studies. Spoiler alert: Eating more fruits, vegetables and whole grains wins. These are just a few key research findings,” reports the Mayo Clinic.

  • “High cholesterol. Reviewing 11 different studies, researchers concluded that plant-based diets helped people significantly improve both their cholesterol level and weight.
  • High blood pressure. In another study, people who ate more fruit had a lower risk of developing hypertension (high blood pressure). In particular, eating blueberries, apples, pears, raisins and grapes all had a beneficial impact on blood pressure.”

3. She Eats This For Breakfast and Lunch

“Oatmeal and vegan sausage for breakfast, vegan tacos are my fave for lunch!” she told a fan on social media. “Eating oatmeal regularly can have weight management benefits as a half-cup of rolled oats cooked in a cup of water has 165 calories, 4 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein. The fiber and protein content contribute to feeling full longer and a slower blood glucose release. Oats also are an excellent source of many vitamins and minerals, including magnesium, copper, thiamine and zinc,” reports the Mayo Clinic.

4. She Uses This for Her Psoriasis

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - November 01, 2021Gotham/GC Images

Kim says she has psoriasis. "The disease is something I have learned to live with, but there are still times when I can feel insecure about it—especially on red carpets or at a photo shoot," she writes. "There isn’t a cure for psoriasis, but there are treatments that can help ease the symptoms." She recommends the Clarify Home Light Therapy System. "I love it because it’s a handheld, at-home treatment that syncs with your phone to give you step-by-step instructions and tells you when to do treatments and take progress photos," she writes.

5. She Sprints on the Treadmill

Armenia,,Yerevan:,08,October,2019,Us,Reality,Tv,Star,KimShutterstock

"Been sprinting every day!" she recently wrote on her Instagram Story. "I've been seeing changes!" Here’s a treadmill workout from the Mayo Clinic that also works:

“This is an advanced workout. It is similar to a HIIT (high intensity interval training) style cardio/ strength workout that is completed all on the treadmill. It will take about 25 minutes to complete the workout (plus warm up and cool down). Be sure to grab on to the handles for support. Feel free to adjust treadmill incline and speed as needed. To modify you can do the workout on a flat treadmill and work your way up to an incline. To advance the workout, jog during the ‘1-2 minute walk’. Modify any exercises as needed. Enjoy!”

Warm up: Spend 5-8 mins walking/jogging on the treadmill. Get your body moving and heart rate up! Feel free to stretch out any muscles before starting.

Perform exercise for 2 minutes then walk for 1-2 minutes.

Be sure to grab on to side handles as needed. Adjust incline and speed as needed.

Workout: Set treadmill at 10-13% incline, speed 0.7-1.5. 1. Walking lunges – 2 mins 2. Walk 1-2 mins 3. Duck walks/squatted walk – 2 mins 4. Walk 1-2 mins 5. Sideways walks (one side, stay low in squat position and shuffle sideways) – 2 mins 6. Walk 1-2 mins 7. Sideways walks (other side, stay low in squat position and shuffle sideways) – 2 mins 8. Walk 1-2 mins 9. Military lunges (lunge with a high knee step) – 2 mins 10. Walk 1-2 mins 11. Backward duck walk/backward squatted walk – 2 mins 12. Walk 1-2 mins

Cool down: Walk at a comfortable speed while slowly lowering your incline all the way down. Take 5-10 minutes and stretch after.

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
