In an interview with Michigan Avenue, Spiridakos opened up about why she became an actress. She says that she wants to be inspired by others. “One of the reasons I got into performing was to connect with people, and one of my favorite ways to do that is by storytelling and sharing. I’m inspired by people all of the time in shows I watch and people I interact with.”

Spiridakos isn’t afraid to speak out about causes that are important to her. During the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, she shared a lot of posts on Instagram supporting it. She shared this photo of herself going for a dip in the pool on the Chicago P.D. set. Spiridakos captioned it, “Sometimes you’ve gotta go for a swim in your winter jacket, jeans and boots. I don’t make up the rules.”
5. She Has Kickboxed
“I honestly started actually working out… whereas before where I wasn’t. Yeah, I kickboxed, but I wasn’t going to the gym regularly and lifting weights and stuff,” she has said. “So, I started doing all that and building up my endurance, but we’re on set a lot, so we get to do it while we’re on the set, like I do a lot of running and stuff… On my days off, I started doing Krav Maga.”
